Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

He kept trying to do these strange jump moves. He'd jump like 3 feet in the air and Mayo would grab him and slam him to the ground. It was hilarious.
Unfortunately, CAL was a sheep in wolf's clothing and we finished that game thinking our run D was competitive.

Looking back, I should have been giggling about the fact that I was more worried about Longshore than anyone else on the team.
How many INT's did he throw that game? 4 or 5? I've never seen a QB launch so many jump balls when under pressure. At some point I thought he'd figure it out and start throwing the ball away, but it never happened.

If "The Dude" knew anything about SF Bay Area sports he would know that De La Salle has producted MAYBE 3 quality Div-1A athletes over the last 3 years (one of which is a backup at Cal). Which is why you don't see a single DLS high school player at SC and UCLA, and only one at Cal. So I really doubt DLS could beat Cal.

Your kidding right? A high school team cannot beat a college team? Thanks for the insight.

The Dude isn't a regular around here - and he isn't indicative of most of us. I called you a name earlier today, only because I let my emotions take over. You'll find the regulars here to be open minded and respectful.

I think you need to read through this thread. My opinion of Cal and the Pac 10 is pretty indicative of most of the posters on this topic. They suck. I'm open minded, but I don't just let every bit of stupidity through the door. Besides, CalBears is obviously comming in here to argue, so I'll argue and crack on his team.

You were worried about a QB who had never played in a div 1-A game? And he threw 1 int.

As for lynch the guy avg 5 yards a carry in the first half and by most draft experts will be a high first round draft pick.

The California kids are master manipulating Volnation in that they want let the thread die......boring.......

Lynch also got out-shined by Hardesty. I have my old avatar around here somewhere...

That's the point, I was most concerned with Longshore, who, by the way, sucked, because Lynch was relegated to bystander. I don't care what he averaged per carry, his impact on the game was the equivalent of mine (or less, because I didn't actually waste the uniform space).

And for those saying Forsett stinks:

Career stats: 1675 yards, 6.4 Yards per carry (most of these yards in 2005 when we had the worst QB in the pac-10)

Foster stats: 1201 yards, 4.4 yards per carry
edit: Hardesty: 383 yards, 3.6 yards per carry

If our backs couldn't average 17 ypc in the PAC 10, we'd be strongly considering dropping football to an intramural sport and elevating hockey to D1, because we could be more competitive there.

Considering Hardesty is basically our 3rd string back that doesn't surprise me. We also didn't run much last year.

:peace2:

Hey, good stuff. Do you actually remember the part when we beat the living sh*t out of you guys a few months ago?

Few things: Forsett ran behind Lynch AND against Pac 10 defenses.

I bet Forsett will have a mediocre season.
