Hm... Makes enough sense with Wazzu. But I think Oregon State will keep playing well. Why? Mike Riley, that's why. IMO the single most underrated coach in the country. Honestly, if you look at the type of situation Oregon State is in, they should not be a 10-win program, or even close to that. Oregon State is a football program in a state with practically zero in-state high school talent, incredibly poor financial backing, a lethargic athletics department, poor facilities, little history and a nutty Terry Baker-ite fan base. It takes a pretty good coach to even make the Beavs a .500 program. Mike Riley, in spite of all the idiots who want him out of Corvallis (there are many -- I don't know why), has decided to continue to grace his presence with the University, and continues to make himself into the greatest coach ever at OSU. That very prowess is why you never count the Beavs out. They're never going to have the talent level to reach a level of continuous national prominence, but with Riley at the helm, they're capable of winning ten games any given season.
Have you noticed that "calbears" and "oski" have never been posting at the same time. Just saying. . .
I'm literally laughing out loud at the notion that the PAC 10 will be better in 2007 than in 2006.
Oregon State had a +4 in CGVR, thus, they're record will drop substantially.
Washington lost just about everything from their 6-6 team.
Oregon will improve. Arizona will improve. Arizona State will improve. Stanford will not.
Washington State was +2 in CGVR, so there's a 67% chance they don't improve on their record.
Cal will be about the same, USC will win the National Title. UCLA will be about the same.
The Pac 10, top to bottom, will be the same or worse than last season.
Look, Droski is a punk as far as I am concerned. He has no backbone. He lets you guys walk all over him, thats not me, no way. Plenty of REAL Cal fans would act the same way I have. The sissy ones would act like Droski. Always implying that he knows what the real Cal fans are up to and what their sentiments are. Shoot, he is a little far removed, living in LA and all. GO BEARS
when did I say cal isn't that good? or are you refering to oski as a poster? then i would agree with you.
Look Droski, I am not one to argue with other Cal fans, especially on an opponents board. Your comments though that I am that crazy Cal Bears guy was just wrong. I have sent him a personal message asking him to join us. I have yet to hear a response.
you have to learn that life is not all about stats.
UCLA returns everybody so they can't be worse. USC returns all the defense and the qb. OSU returns every major player but QB (a qb who was horrible virtually his entire career btw). Oregon returns virtually the entire team. ASU returns most the team. Cal returns 16 starters. WSU returns a senior qb. Arizona has a lousy coach and probably will still be lousy. Stanford will be about the same. Washington will be about the same. So we have one or two team that will be worse, 2 or 3 teams that will be the same, and 6 that will be better.
sure but it will have to be tommorow. take it easy guys.
