Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

Boy, those Alabama fans are pretty good at being a nasty bunch. I thought you guys were being mean, but they are just jerks. Sorry you have to deal with them.

No, but beyond tedford how many other coaches have turned 1-10 teams into perrenial top-25 teams? And because of the JC issue, the fact that stanford can't recruit 90% of all div 1-A players because of academic standards, and the fact that harbaugh's staff is the lowest paid in all of college football (meaning institutional support is minimal at best), it seems highly unlikely he could turn it around quickly. And lets not forget that Harbaugh was the coach of USD (a div 2 non-scholorship school). He was also arrested for a DUI with an underage girl in the car and is a known alcoholic/womanizer.

Snyder did at K-State.

Actually, you probably haven't been paying attention... The Pac-10 as a whole has made major strides in football along with the arrival of Pete Carroll at USC. Not as good as the SEC has been, but nobody has been.

I don't think it is unfair to say the pac-10 was lousy for most of the 90s, but I do feel that is starting to change. Next season could be the best the conference has been from top to bottom in maybe 20 years. Lots of good talent coming back.

The Big East sucks though. What are they doing #2 when everyone knows it should be the SEC. Of course the Pac will be #1.

The Lac-10's success is predicated by Pete...everyone else is irrelevant.

Actually I've been paying attention. I watched an overrated Oregon team collapse last year. I watched an ASU team go from preseason top 15 pick to being a joke. I've watched Arizona go from a team on the rise to being stuck at 3-5 wins the past 2 years. I've seen a USC team dominate its conference. I've seen a UCLA team have a big win then immediately follow it with a letdown. I've seen a conference, on a yearly basis, play good O and terrible D.

How do you explain all of the ranking services having the Pac rated so high? Is it all just a sham? Or maybe a big conspiracy of the left wing media?
