Are we in?

I know, I'm just pointing out the top matchups for emphasis. Sure there are some better teams in the Big 10 than the bottom of the SEC. On the whole, though, Florida played all the good SEC teams this year and there were a good number of them. Beyond Wisconsin, Ohio State, and ND, I don't see anything on Michigan's schedule that can claim to top most of what UF has beaten. Florida has some crappy OOC's, but Michigan has Ball State. I think Florida definitely has the edge in the SOS department.

Yeah, after Florida's SOS adds in Arkansas, they should be a little ahead or right with Michigan. It SHOULD be moot since UF won the dadgum conference.

First of all, congrats LG and florida.

Regarding the 64K$ question, here is my criteria for judging the strength of a team: Who have they beaten?

Under this criteria, I think florida should be in over michigan. Florida has beaten UT, LSU, and arky. The only ranked team michigan beat was notre dame.

WRONG! Add in Wisconsin, and I *think* Penn State is a top 25 BCS team.

My suggestion is for Meyer to buy extra vaseline, for the shaft the BCS is going to give him.

Penn State isn't. Also, even though I think Wisconsin is good this year, they have played no one outside Michigan. Their schedule was easier than any Big East school this year.

SOS vary. Sagarin had all 10 Pac 10 schools in the top 11 SOS in the nation. UF was the only non Pac 10 team on that list and they were #9.

Huh? Sagarin has Florida's SOS right now at #27 (before Arkansas game). Sagarin has Michigan's SOS right now at #13.

I was going by rankings at time of play. wisconsin was not ranked at that time. neither was penn state.

Regardless, whether we go by rankings at time of play or rankings now, fla still wins under that criteria.

I like how LG missed the fact you said EXTRA.....impying he already needs some for his "extra activities". :birgits_giggle:

Ranking at the time of the game means absolutely nothing! When Florida beat a top 5 UT team last year, they couldn't hang their hats on a top 5 win later on. Our win over top 10 Georgia wasn't accurate.

It's silly to look at it that way.

Exactly why I feel UF's schedule is more difficult. At the end of the year, I think Wisconsin and ND will lose their bowl games, dropping them in the rankings. On the flip side, I expect the majority of SEC teams to win their bowls. Thus, Florida's opponents go up, Michigan's go down.

LG,

I think Tebow needs more playing time in whatever bowl you are in, agree? I think Leak is a disaster waiting to happen.

Fair enough, look at it the other way. who comes out on top?

I think Florida will be in the NC game. Michigan had an opportunity and blew it. I bet there are alot of similarities to Tresell and Meyer. They have done great things with their programs in such a short time.
When I was in Columbus last weekend everyone I talked to didn't want a rematch. Big Ten v/s Sec I like that they are the two best conferences in football.

I can't believe it, that Florida could actually shut down Arkansas rushing attack.

I think your in, no one wants to see a rematch, except for the Big Blue fans..

You know, its just so tough to love or hate the way Leak plays. I mean, he thre an abolsute dart to Harvin in the first half. And then in the second he threw a pick right to the Arky guy and then attempted a weak-ass pitch right into the arms of anohter for a touch and then fumbled the next series. And then he came back and marched us down for a couple of scores.

Just so up and down.

Let Fla, play for it so they can get beaten for real. They should have lost 4 games already, Tn(if we make one block)SC(if they don't give up a blocked kick), LSU if Russell does not have his head up his butt and make all those mistakes. Fla is probably the worst #2 out there, but lucky. Let them play so Ohio State can go unbeaten and win another title. This might be the only bowl game I watch, just to watch Leak melt down and Meyer make excuses.

yah, well we had a little luck on our side back in 98, a little luck never hurts anybody.

But if UF plays OSU. The Buckeyes will destroy UF.
