Are we in?

I just showed a breakdown that had UM's SOS as a little tougher. Granted, it was also subjective. That being said, I think it's hard to say Michigan's isn't at least close to Florida's.

I do want to state I think Florida should go to Glendale.

I thought you were calling for a UM/OSU rematch a few weeks back?

I don't care what teams were ranked during the season...it's the final rankings that matter...and right now Florida has 4 teams and Michigan has 3 in the top 25. Plus, computer SOS ranking are pure garbage...as in garbage in, garbage out. Florida (.642) statistically has played a better schedule than Michigan (.620).

Florida vs Ohio State

SEC Champ vs Big Ten Champ

But it will most likley be Big Ten champ vs Big Ten runner up...will this ever happen for the SEC?

So, by comparing thr .642 vs. .620, you're saying a 9-3 Ohio team is tougher than a 7-5 South Carolina team. You can't JUST look at that. PLUS, you're doing what the computers do in their SOS rankings, except you're going 1 step less deep.

How many times do I need to clarify this?

After *WEEK 11* I said Michigan deserved it then. After *WEEK 13*, I say Florida does. Things DO change in 2 weeks.

Do we really believe Chris Leak has the ability to make the plays necessary in a NC game to win?

I believe UF's defense and special teams would be allowed to participate in this match up as well.

I do believe they might have a little trouble with Ohio State's defense as well. And I don't believe their pass defense will hamper Ginn much either.

Also, I do believe that Ohio State would have a month to get ready as well. I just don't see any team standing who can beat them since USC lost. I would rank Fla third behind SC, and Notre Dame and I don't think Notre Dame would beat them either. I believe we might see another Nebraska/ Tommy Frazier beat down. And LSU fans need to get a grip as well. They are the most talented team in the SEC with a coaching staff about as bad as UT if not worse. They should have been unbeaten and playing in this game.

Leak? Sure he does.

You seem to just sort of be all over the place. You have a lot of very absolute opinions.

I can look at it if it helps my case for Florida...that's my "style" points...:)

IMO...it should be Florida...

I guess my biggest measuring stick is the way Fla. barely beat an average Tn team by one point and was outplayed and outcoached by SC who had much less talent. I am glad Tn played Fla instead of Ohio State because they would have mauled us and embarrassed us. That is the yard stick I am trying to apply here. If Tn played Fla again it would be close and Tn might win this week. If we played OSU we would lose by 2 touchdowns and I would not be hoping for a rematch.

If we played UF again, they would destroy us. When defense is your staple, you win several games by close scores. I wish some people could understand this.

I understand defense . . . but I also understand you have to score to win. I don't see Florida being consistent enough on offense to "destroy" anybody.

You may be right, though I for one am hoping for a bad beating to the Gators. However, these are the offensive stats. It just might turn on special teams play. I couldn't pull up any defensive stats(one reason I like NFL better). Anyway, if anyone else has them please share.

What do you guys think? I think Florida looked great tonight, especially coming back after Arkansas scored 21 unanswered.

I imagine it will come down to the human voters. Do they leapfrog us over Michigan?
Congrats LG.It's a toss up.I anticipate ESPN to start with their promotion of a team,Actually I think they have already been promoting Michigan for about three weeks now.Pitiful.They need to shut up sometimes.

Could the fact that Auburn got left out in 2004 work in Florida's favor because people don't want to see the SEC get the short end twice?

Everyone is leaving this out of the equation, Florida will vault Michigan in the Harris poll and that will be enough to put them in the title game as they will be ahead in the computer poll as it is. Having said that though if you dislike the BCS like I do you should be praying for Michigan to get the shot, because if Florida is snubbed Mike Slive will raise a holy fit over it not to mention Meyer.

Someone may have already mentioned this, but if you go to espn.com their poll question is ofcourse who should be in UM or UF. When I saw it Michigan was ahead 53 to 47, but the map is pretty funny. As you can expect all the SEC states are in favor of Florida, except Kentucky. But the actual support in Florida is weak at around 75% compared to the Michigan support in Michigan at 93%. Just thought it was interesting.

I think that it's very doubtful. However, it was nice to see some commentators actually lobby for an SEC team for the first time in history.
