Are we in?

Let Fla, play for it so they can get beaten for real. They should have lost 4 games already, Tn(if we make one block)SC(if they don't give up a blocked kick), LSU if Russell does not have his head up his butt and make all those mistakes. Fla is probably the worst #2 out there, but lucky. Let them play so Ohio State can go unbeaten and win another title. This might be the only bowl game I watch, just to watch Leak melt down and Meyer make excuses.

You really see things accurately....:detective:

Elaborate on why Michigan's schedule is tougher, please.

Ohio State > LSU
Wisconsin > Auburn
Notre Dame > Tennessee
Penn State > Kentucky
C. Michigan < Georgia
Minnesota < S. Carolina
Iowa = Alabama
Indiana < Florida State
Vanderbilt = Vanderbilt
Northwesten < S. Miss
Michigan State > C. Florida
Ball State > W. Carolina

I think the only thing Michigan has going for it is that its only loss was to OSU in an exciting game at OSU.

But Florida's SOS is way better than theirs and Florida won its conference, something Michigan cannot say. And Florida looked really good doing it. Even if voters missed the game tonight, the highlight footage will be pretty amazing.

It is probably going to be very, very close.

In the end, I am hoping that voters like the idea of OSU-Florida and Michigan-USC (in the Rose) a whole lot better than OSU-Michigan II.

I hope you guys go, too. I will say one thing, though, it almost sounded desperate the way the commentators were begging everyone to put Florida in the game.

I don't think UM played a tougher schedule, not even close. Although they are very very talented, when you compare schedules with UF..its not even close!

Let's get real here. Say Tn goes to a bowl and beats Penn State or Wisconsin. We feel ok and move on. Fla is high and mighty and gets absolutely creamed in the NC game as they did when they played Neb. Who will feel better? Say that TN loses and Fla gets creamed? Who feels worse and how many people will see each game. Fla would be better off going to the Sugar Bowl and winning than going to the NC and losing in my opinion?
Therefore, I hope that is what happens.
Any thoughts out there in vol land?

I understand what you are saying . . . I think it's dead wrong . . . but I understand.

I'm not sure I agree with these three. Auburn's schedule was tougher than Wisconsin's (even though the OOC schedule was laughable and Wisconsin won the bowl game last year). I think Wisconsin would easily finish that schedule with three losses. Notre Dame might be better than UT, but I'd say that is more of a push. I'm still not sold on Penn State, either. I can't think of a decent team they've beaten.

That would be a nice rematch. Last time the Trojans topped the Wolverines to claim a non-BCS national championship.
Not according to those party-pooping crybaby LSU fans. :whistling:

VolinArizona, are you sure about that SOS thing? I really thought Florida's ranked a lot higher. Last time I looked it was. At least I think it was.
It is... USC's is tougher, if the argument came down to USC vs. Florida, but that doesn't matter now.

Anything can happen in one 60 minute game. Sure OSU would be favored, and heavily. But it isn't like Florida is bad. And with a month to get ready ...

You must be kidding! There is only one bowl game that means crap....the BCS National Championship game. I'd rather play in it and lose 55-0 than play in anyother bowl and win by the same margin!

With that athleticism on defense, Florida can get on the field with anybody.

I agree. It wouldn't be a blowout by any means.

There have been 2 instances that the sec champion has played in the bcs title game. sec is 2-0.

Do we really believe Chris Leak has the ability to make the plays necessary in a NC game to win?
Also, I do believe that Ohio State would have a month to get ready as well. I just don't see any team standing who can beat them since USC lost. I would rank Fla third behind SC, and Notre Dame and I don't think Notre Dame would beat them either. I believe we might see another Nebraska/ Tommy Frazier beat down. And LSU fans need to get a grip as well. They are the most talented team in the SEC with a coaching staff about as bad as UT if not worse. They should have been unbeaten and playing in this game.

I don't care what teams were ranked during the season...it's the final rankings that matter...and right now Florida has 4 teams and Michigan has 3 in the top 25. Plus, computer SOS rankings are pure garbage...as in garbage in, garbage out. Florida (.642) statistically has played a better schedule than Michigan (.620).

Florida vs Ohio State

SEC Champ vs Big Ten Champ

But it will most likely be Big Ten champ vs Big Ten runner up...will this ever happen for the SEC?

I just showed a breakdown that had UM's SOS as a little tougher. Granted, it was also subjective. That being said, I think it's hard to say Michigan's isn't at least close to Florida's.

I do want to state I think Florida should go to Glendale.
