Arkansas rumors

I am very aware of what you have.

Are you aware of what Arkansas will have. To tell the truth, you have caught up with a couple of aspects that Arkansas had on you and Arkansas is about a year behind on construction of what will be basically very similar facilities. I mean it's like you're punch drunk from the over the top marketing jargon that the official video previews pump out to the loyal masses seeking donations. The Thunderdome of weight training, that's funny as hell.

It's nice to see what Arkansas did 10 years ago being copied. An example would be the new weight room being open to the outdoor and indoor practice fields.

Cool. Mike Gundy is really gonna enjoy those.

Arkansas is really getting ran over with the addition of Missouri and Texas A&M coming into the SEC. They know that they are in a desperate situation with this coaching hire to remain competitive in the conference.

But it won't be Gruden for the hogs. His only college job would be Notre Dame or UT. Otherwise he will stay in the NFL.

Do Arkansas fans realize that the population of their state is not even 3 million.

What's that got to do about anything other that Arkansas really supports their state school considering the small population, top 25 attendance in football, basketball, and baseball. Another interesting aspect is that both Arkansas and Tenn depends on out of state recruits. Tenn surprizingly produces little elite D1 talent in football. Too many all white counties. Reminds me of when my city high school in Memphis played Obion Co. back in the 90's and they dressed 100 white boys and our entire squad of 35 ran all over them. Atlanta and the southeast is important to Tenn and Texas is important to Arkansas.

Fayetteville consistantly ranks in "best of" list for towns its size. Haters going to hate. But if you are really all that insecure, stop letting your women buy their clothes at WalMart, We Arkansans prefer Dillards.

Perfect coach for Arkansas is Art Briles of Baylor. He knows the south and he has a good offense mind (I guess he's kind of a Petrino with a soul...)

Oh no how will we ever compete when you shop at high class stores like Dillards? Do you actually think Dillards is upscale enough that you think it's something to brag about? Then again you certainly seem like the insecure one. Funny isn't it?

Other than a few drive by comments, what the heck is your point and why qre you on here? Please respond.

@jimharris360: My sources say Arkansas has made an offer to ESPN pro analyst Jon Gruden.

Im sure they did and Gruden and his agent laughed about it and then used it to wipe their fingers off from the yummy Hooters wings they ate for lunch.

Arkansas just doesn't have the fan base and college environment of Tennessee, they definitely have money via boosters though. As for competing for Gruden, I think Gruden is looking at Tennessee because of Johnny Majors, and his man-crush Peyton, among other things.

Funny thought of Gruden giving Johnny a quick call to feel out the Tennessee job and after 20 minutes of storytelling about this and that, Gruden is finally able to ask his 2nd question! :dance2:

The funny thing about this thread is that no UT fans actually believe the Arky rumors. Lol

Of course he has. There is zero chance he goes to Arky. TN and ND are the only two colleges he would coach. His wife would be pissed if he picked Ark over UT. He has extreme passion and loves UT and Majors. Im not worried one ounce about them.Arky is a good job but not great especially t.radition wise

Meh, so what if they did? He knows he'll see a proposal from Knoxville. There's no rush. Hell, he might see 4-5 proposals before Jan 1st.

Rumor that Arky has been thrown an offer to Gruden:

Jim Harris (former editor of Arkansas Sports360) reported 40 minutes ago (3:00pm ET) that he has been able to confirm that Arkansas has offered Jon Gruden the coaching job. Let's all begin to pray!

Someone needs to pray that his defunct website can get started back up. Maybe this will generate the traffic he failed to generate previously.
