Army Soldier refuses to salute flag

Where does that state you have to get out of your car?

In the 82nd on Ft. Bragg, you get out of your vehicle and salute. I'm not getting into this reg argument. I honestly don't know if one exists, but the 80 deuce adds to existing regs. Just depends on you environment.

I'm just tired of seeing all these posters claiming she should have gotten out. Unless she has a base level directive stating such, she should not have gotten out.

Point being is every post reinforces the policy. She violated the Army Values. I am sick of people trying to defend this sh!tbag.

I agree. She was hiding, and seemingly thought she was awesome for doing so. You know damn well what time it is, get your sloppy ass out and salute the colors.

I hear there are stress cards and all kinds of bs. You can't weed them out like the good ol' days.

that's true,i was freaked out out when one of the first thing i heard was a I am going to rip your head off and s*** down your wind pipe in boot camp after a trash can was slammed up against my bunk

my friends son and his step brother went thru boot camp at about the same time,i was with them while they were comparing notes about what each went thru during boot camp

the one that had the women in his group was saying how much easier it was and the other how much harder it was with out the women,I'm just relaying on what they were saying about it

when i went thru boot camp, there wasn't any women around,of course that is different these days

January 2000 here. A lot has changed since then.

Video games and all of that sh!t. People think that if they are good at ghost recon that they can get out and do the real thing. Are you retarded or something? I would love to take a "gamer" to combat and test that theory out.

Get back behind the gun and stop crying you ****!

I'm pretty good at Call of Duty.......just sayin'

It's the bragging about it that burns my ass. I grew up on navy bases. I wasn't even in the service but my dad taught me to stop what I was doing and stand, maybe not at attention, but certainly respectfully when retreat was sounded. And if I had on a cap, it better come off my head. It's a respect thing. Not every person gets that, but to brag about lack of respect, that's just a slap in the face. I suspect somehow, someway. she will face consequences.

A question to those in service, are there any restrictions on the conduct of servicepeople while in uniform as it pertains to posting on social media? It seems when my dad was in, detrimental conduct was deemed more severe if it happened while in uniform, but I could be remembering incorrectly. That was a long time ago. My dad retired in '89 after 20+ years of service.

Good luck with that

Ft. Benning
Foxtrot company 219.

We got smoked. Maybe not as bad as back in the day but we hardly slept in a week. Constantly doing mountain climbs or sand drills. Hours on end. I had blisters on top of my blisters. However, Two weeks later our drills would leaves us be at 1900 every night. And wouldn't be woken until 0500. It was weird.

They don't anymore. Haven't for awhile. All-American HWY, Gruber, Reilly and Yadkin are like NASCAR or NHRA events come around 16:45.

If she doesn't have enough discipline to even salute a flag when our National Anthem starts playing, she doesn't deserve my tax dollars. If she doesn't have respect in her posts referring to the military, she doesn't deserve the uniform.

Ef her. I hope she's discharged and homeless soon. That way she will know how ridiculous her posts were.

The way things are looking she may get the opportunity to visit Ukraine. That might her stance on the flag a tad.

In my 12 years, I never hid from colors. If I knew if was going to happen in the next ten minutes, did I make sure I was inside? Yes. If it happened while I was outside and heard it, did I run and duck in somewhere? No, not ever.

Hmmm... so volfanbill was right. It is a common practice.
