Around the SEC

aTm is so fun to watch at the plate. .300 hitters from top to bottom.

Their big bat Boomer White was invisible all week, yet the rest of the team were hitting machines. FL just melted down at the end. Bunch of tired players after a week of intense competition.

Texas job is open. Kendall Rogers says they have an elite coach that they very well may get. The rumors are that it is O'Sullivan.

The SEC sets two records with 7 teams to host regional's and 4 national seeds.

FL - 1 seed, A&M - 4 seed, MSU - 6 seed, LSU - 8 seed.

Vandy, SC & Ole Miss will be regional hosts.

More surprises.....

TCU paired with A&M.

Clemson paired up with South Carolina.

Do they make new brackets or just pull out the same ones out of the drawer every season?

With the growing popularity in baseball they need to throw out the saving travel $ BS

Was just discussing that with my dad as we watched it. I said this is the problem with the same teams always qualifying and the committee trying to keep travel to a minimum. As you said, you can count on UF, UM, FSU Supers, if one isn't a 2 seed in the other's regional. And then you can count on Bethune-Cookman going to G'ville and FAU going to Miami. Everyone of those schools faced each other in the regular season. We don't want to see UF and FSU for a 4th, 5th and potentially 6th time.

They could've made things interesting having the Lafayette regional paired with the Baton Rouge regional instead ULL will go to Starkville if they both win.

@KendallRogersD1: BREAKING: @AlabamaBSB HC Mitch Gaspard has resigned as head coach of the Crimson Tide. What … A … Day

I did not realize until today, FAU's head coach John McCormack who has done a good job, is battling cancer.

I saw Rogers hinted at that. I just don't see why he would leave. The only advantage is the BigXII is an easier conference to win. But why run from the competition when you're dominating your fair share of it.

Augie was making well over a mil I think I heard

If so that's way way way more than anyone else is making

Kevin is fed up with the lack of fan and campus support at Florida.

UF broke the school record this year and supposedly averaged 6400 per game. That's the UF MO though. Their fan support across the board is pretty mediocre unless they're winning at the highest level; which makes the baseball scenario perplexing.

Bunch of BS. Look at Hoover. Florida playing for the title in front of what appeared to be little more than families and girlfriends.

I was there, I saw the crowd. I'm not saying it's acceptable but campus is over 400 miles away. I was told that number by one of my best friends who's family is fairly large UF boosters and hold season tickets in every sport on campus. They live 30 miles from Gainesville and don't miss an event so I'm inclined to believe they saw large baseball crowds this season.

Florida and Vandy both have the worst fans in the sec. Most Florida could care less about baseball and there aren't they many "real" florida fans anyway

One of my coworkers has season tickets and says the crowds are an absolute joke.

Kinda like Rays crowds in Tropicana field when the Rays has Maddon.
