I honestly think Juan can get it done. But that's just me.
Maybe, but it's a giant reach. Which is why he was available off the scrap heap. There's nothing on his resume, majors or minors, to suggest that he can credibly start in the NL. I like his potential, to an extent, but it's insanity to pick this guy up at a Hooters less than a week before the season starts and think he can back up a guy who's going to miss at least 50 games.
I thought he had impressive minor league numbers, especially against RH.
His minor league numbers would be great if he were three years younger. I absolutely think he's a credible major leaguer on the bench, especially if he can learn to fill in at a couple of the easier positions. I think it's insanity to count on him to start 50-60 games and not suck.
