Maybe one day ,but Trout has only played 3 years. If Trout stays at this pace for a few more years, than yes

Mike Trout is better at baseball than Pete Rose. I'm not saying he has had a better career. I'm saying he is better.

Granted, I haven't looked at their playoff PAs.

You think he's juiced?

As a youngster who saw the steroid era coming to an end nothing would surprise me but I think with the way training and medicine has developed along with stringent drug testing I don't think juicing is very prevalent anymore.

Also I don't thinking juicing is all that bad so doesn't matter much to me.

Agree. Trout is definitely more talented . I'm basing it off the body of work. It's hard to imagine the numbers trout will end up with if he stays healthy.

Mike Trout could die tomorrow and it would still be obvious that he was better at baseball than Pete Rose.

Miggy has always had a hard time with good sliders by righties. I remember the Giants killed him with that pitch in the 12 WS but if you throw fastball in the zone you're screwed. Pujols in the mid naughts was almost unpitchable

Any good hitter with any power at all is better than Pete Rose was. Tony Gwynn was overrated. So is Pete Rose.

I got to see Tony Gwynn in old Qualcomm at five years old. When I lived in San Diego my dad got free tickets sometimes for Padres games. They played the Rockies and it was a Friday night. My dad let us watch the whole in extra innings and the Padres hit a game winning home run in the 10th to win. I want to say Benito Santiago hit it but I can't remember. I fell in love with baseball that day. One of my favorite child memories.

Also I was three so I don't remember but my dad took me to a game when the Padres played the Braves. David Justice came over and signed a baseball and actually talked to me and my dad for five minutes and thanked my dad for his military service just being nice. Always have liked Justice.

I think a lot has to do with what kind of player you enjoy watching. I enjoyed Tony Gwynn and Wade Boggs type of players. High average and OBP players.

I was stationed in San Diego in the early 90's, Went to see the Padres a few times. Fred Mcgriff and Gary Scheffield were Padres at that time

You were in the military? My pops was in the Coast Guard. He loved San Diego but my mom hated it.

I think my moment was in 97 or 98, Milwood threw a 2 hitter against the Pirates. First game I went to at Turner.
