God forbid people who make their money off the taxpayer be questioned for murder.By show of hands, who has ever been in a street fight? Had a weapon pulled on them? Had a gun pulled on them? Yes to all three right here.
The Monday morning quarterback'ing of police is just disgusting in general.
There are Navy Seals who couldn't respond to some of these situations in a way that would get approval in the film room by the wokeness brigade.
"All I want is every single cop in the entire country to respond to every single situation with the accuracy and precision of Robocop. Why are they quitting?" - a bunch of retards.
I can somewhat agree with that.I heard a cop on TV use a term to describe the Atlanta situation that I found appropriate, "lawful but awful". I don't think the cops acted in an illegal way, but that doesn't mean they responded in the "right" way either. There were other alternatives, other decisions they could have made that wouldn't have resulted in the death of a man. That doesn't excuse the choices the man made himself, but cops are supposed to uphold a higher standard. No one had to die, and the onus is on the police to do everything possible to prevent that from happening.
Its not mutually exclusive, the da can both believe his charges are appropriate and not want to see Atlanta burned.

There is enough blame to go around on both sides. The protesters on one side and the police and the lawmakers/local officials on the other. I'm just saying that with regards to the cops, they have shown no desire to meet in the middle. Leave us alone or we will quit is irresponsible. You may be right, but the free pass being given to elected officials who have had the power to take care of this all along is unconscionable.
President Trump will be reelected and i'm very confident about that and by the way you are wrong
Then he is an idiot.
1.) He charges the officer on a far lesser charge. In doing this he will cause some disdain with his police force while also causing some disdain with the Woke crowd who wants him to rot in the dungeon of a Medieval Prison. In the end you get your lesser conviction, the cop is held accountable for some wrongdoing, you have your police force who sees that they will be held accountable and the Woke crowd is still unhappy but he was held accountable. I don’t foresee any cities burning in this.
2.) He vastly overcharges the officer. The Woke crowd is cheering and your police force feels you’re out to get them and they walk out. Cop gets off the charges your Woke folk go to burn the place down and you have no police force.
I believe I would take option #1. Any rational person would if they made a thoughtful rational decision instead of a quick emotional one.
That is all any reasonable person is asking for.People keep arguing the extremes, but there is a middle ground to be found. Look at the officers who joined in peaceful protests over George Floyd. That is a step in the right direction. That should be an example for both sides that we can find a common ground and work together. Nothing will be solved by taking an extreme position and refusing to budge. There has to be compromise from both sides. Police need to find better, non lethal ways to deescalate situations, and people need to stop defending criminals who resist arrest. The goal should be everyone survives.
