Not saying it didn't happen, but if they're just going by offers, then I doubt there was much in writing there that could be traceable. Also, from the comments made by Bond, it sounds like there were multiple schools offering. To try to track down that entire list seems impossible.

And yes, I agree with you and Herbie that Newton doesn't give 2 cents about Auburn. He'll be in the pro's making millions by the time this is settled.

Hate to be that guy to defend the douche bag Kiffin but right after the former staff met with Cam they moved on immediately. I don't think Kiffin was above dirty tactics but I think he knew Cam's situation would blow up because they were basically offering this guy to the highest bidder, too many parties involved for this thing to end well.

I agree. I'm not saying that Kiffin did or did not offer. My point was that it would be very hard to track down all the "bidders" in this case. That said, I don't think Kiffin and co. offered him $$$.
