I think he is going to be hired by Phil Jackson and coach the nicks. Clearly this is going to happen. I mean it is no coincidence that Phil was announced President of Basketball operations for the Nicks mere hours before Pearl was hired on by Auburn.

It's not a good day to be a Tennessee fan but at the same time it could have been much worse if he had wound up at Alabama (and any school that will hire Kiffin wouldn't think twice about Pearl). I would also say that I understand where the anti-Pearl crowd is coming from. He did cause us a degree of embarrassment in 2010 over something very silly.

A school that hires Bobby Petrino would probably hire Pearl also.

We hired Mike Sherman, Dennis Franchonie, Mark Turgeon, and Billy Kennedy. I'm aware of the concept. Fortunately, new admin is in place now to prevent that now.

Huh? I would still love to have Pearl as our head coach but it's a stretch to say that any coach fired while facing the likelihood of a show cause penalty was the victim of an overreacting admin
