Avengers Endgame ****SPOILER THREAD****

Remember that everyone that were (dusted) gone for 5 years never aged. So once they were brought back they would still be the same age as when they left (thus still in HS after all was settled).

So every student their age got washed away? Why not half? Their whole group just happened to be dust? I agree in theory with your analysis...just hope they address it more thoroughly in the next flick

They were uh, non-existent.
Their atoms were turned to nothingness.
Can't age if you don't exist.

I get the concept. The issue I have is that if only half of society was erased, am I supposed to accept that 1 entire high school was part of that half? How was his entire friend group part of the erased?

Also...where are the people who were erased while on flights? Rhetorical silly scenario.

Why are you assuming it’s all the exact same students in that High School that were there 5 years ago. Maybe it’s halves, half came back from dust and half were younger 5 years ago and now they’re in high school?

Imagine the people who were in deadly situations while help was coming.

Now there won't be help coming

Basically because their whole friend group in thr next movie didn't age. Again...just hoping for clarity in the next movie

Who was the loner at the funeral?
Seconded. Tried to remember where he fit. Also question about Vision. Guess they couldn’t replace the Infinity Stone that gave him life?

Half the UNIVERSE. Thanos didn’t have a separate plan for school systems. Everyone that disappeared got put on those memorial plaques. That didn’t get reversed with Hulk’s snap. They just came back...5 years later. Peter disappeared and so did his best friend.

Just got home. I’ll say I liked IW better as a whole but this was the perfect end cap to the initial Avengers saga. I was surprised by BW death. Less so by Tony’s although I still found it to be moving. I had a feeling Cap would get tossed in the time stream or something so I was close. Wasn’t sure exactly what Thor would do since Hemsworth said he was open to another Thor movie with the right script.

Some hot takes:
Loved the nod to the elevator scene from WS. I kept wondering if it was going to play out the same way but the Hail Hydra was perfect (and a nod to recent events in the comics which I did not read).

Tony’s dad visit was great. But I kept thinking he should have been older in that scene. We finally got to see the real Jarvis LOL.

Ant-Man was great throughout. The rat freeing him from the Quantum Realm was a bit hokey but plays into that characters tone when you think about it. I was so ready for him to break down if he found Cassie on that wall. Poor guy missed so much of his daughters life between prison and the QR.

I did think Captain Marvel would play a bigger role but honestly this movie was about her.

Liked Smart Hulk but he needed to be a little more cocky like he was in the comics when the personalities merged. He cracked me up when was gratuitously smashing things in the past.

Man o man when Cap picked up Mjolnir. Then Thor shouted I knew it!

I have to agree on the cheesy female roll call part. I’m all for women diversity in the movies and have been defending Captain Marvel against stupid attacks (without even seeing it) but that line up scene was too cornball when we had already scene more of those women kicking ass already.

And I have to agree about Peter Parker’s whole friend circle being part of the snapture. It’s too convenient. They better show or mention how some kids grew 5 years while they were missing.

They somewhat did this in IW too and I wasn’t a fan of it then (the 3 “good guys” girls teamed up to fight the “bad guy” girl)

From a sheer abilities standpoint, the females are every bit the equal of the males in these movies. They don’t need a statement. To that point as well, I wasn’t a fan of Pepper suddenly being a hero.

Also, side note: I didn’t like what they did with Thor at all. I get the bearded drunken loser thing, that totally works actually, but fat? That was kind of dumb to me.

All that being said, IW still sits at the top of the marvel list for me, but this one was absolutely splendid.

What kids? Those two didn’t. Hawkeye’s kids didn’t. I’m sure the new Spiderman flick will have different background actors and address the 5 year worldwide disappearance, but it’s a contrived issue for issue’s sake imo.

The real Jarvis was Agent Carters sidekick in the Agent Cartet series.

Honestly, the reason the Girl Power sequence fell so flat with me is because they had Mantis out there in the line up trying to look badass.

Should've just had her make some odd remark and peace out until she found someone to put to sleep.

Otherwise, an amazing movie considering the amount of things they had to tie together.
