Bad Beats, Monster laydowns...Poker discussion

You obviously have no understanding of the level of ethics that goes on in a poker game, ask any pro about players that start with crummy hands and they will tell you the person doesn't even deserve to play the game.
You are correct in the lying department, but there is a time and certain situations when a bluff is used...you should really study about the game of poker before you try to give your opinion to someone who is far more knowledgeable of the game than yourself.

You are really making yourself out to be a real tool. The air of superiority over how some decide to wager in a game where luck plays a large roll is just asenine. You lost, suck it up and drive on, and go back to watching tournament poker on ESPN 8.

I'm not trying to be a tool...it just amazes me these opinions are obviously coming from individuals who have little or no knowledge of the game.

I will admit up front that I don't know much about poker, but any game you play, you play to win. If someone finds an advantage, within the rules, that allows them to win more often than not, more power to them. If they beat you and then you complain about how they play, that makes you a sore loser.

I've played, on average 2 times a week at Foxwoods since i got out of the Army in '03, i stil go so i must be doing something right. I just don't see any point in pissing and moaning about, and going on and on about respect. What is gained by whining? Get your nose out of the air and join the real world bud.

Since you play...then you must understand a little of what I'm saying, right?Come on...it doesn't upset you when you do everything right and you can't get a fish off their hand?

that's funny since we're not the ones being routinely beaten by "donks" playing 2-7 off. :eek:lol: Suck it up, you're never winning a bracelet

I wouldn't expect anything different from you PJ.....it's taken me this long to figure it out,but now i know why your one of the most hated individuals on this board.

Well, a hand played stupodly or perfectly, that wins, is a winner, no? I hear you , but i get tired of the crap people give each other. Play the game and take it as it comes.

If you play poker and you play hands like 2-7 off or 3-8 of clubs do all of us a favor and quit playing....find another hobby...your suck-outs are killing the game.:the_finger:

Uhhhh, no. I love sitting at a table with loose players that stay in with trash. They may suck out every now and then, but I'll be leaving with all their money at the end of the night.

amazing that this is so consistent on every message board I've ever read. Someone posts a thread whining about some great injustice in their life, they don't get responses that back their position and they get defensive/throw insults/claim everyone doesn't understand etc.

and I'm taking CLK's approach- love me or hate me, you know my name :)

I hear ya,that philosophy works in cash games...but not to often in tourney play.

Looks like they're going with the forfeit. Let's see how this strategy pays off for them

wow, this is funny. I'm not a big poker player, but to cry because someone beat you in a way you don't deem as fair is just silly. Do you think it's fair when UF and the other teams have introduced the mythical "spread offense"?

You're getting beat my a method you're not used to. Suck it up, be a man and find a way to beat them.

btw, I had no idea PJ was one of the more hated on this board.

If your tired of being beating by trash hands, stop slow playing your hand. It depends on the player tight/loose...slow playing can win you big money but, it can also cause your opponent to turn or river you. "That's Poker" as they say.
