Baltimore Unrest

So 2 wrongs are better?

Im cool with questioning why her son was there to be slapped. I'm also cool with her removing him. She did something many others didnt.

But that makes her no hero, though. She's just doing what a parent should do. Let's not hand out gold medals and praise her on Oprah for doing what she is supposed to be doing.

A host of charges placed against the officers involved, 2nd degree murder, manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, assault along with several other charges.

When everyone is broke $5 makes you a rich man. in a society which is at the point it is, you have to point out these things. It is certainly not the ideal situation but it is a step in the right direction. and unless you start rewarding good action why would anyone follow her example?

@meganspecia: Mosby recounting moments of #FreddieGray's arrest: "Officers failed to establish probable cause for Gray's arrest & illegally arrested Gray"

@meganspecia: At no point was #FreddieGray secured by a seatbelt in the wagon contrary to a BCPD order says Mosby.

@meganspecia: During one stop, 2 officers went back of van to check on status of gray’s condition. Gray asked for help & said he could not breath.

@meganspecia: Despite this, the van went to pick up another person, in a manner Mosby calls "negligent" since #FreddieGray needed medical attention

@meganspecia: The last time Gray was put into the back of the police van, officers "failed to restrain Gray in the wagon, for at least the 5th time."

@meganspecia: #FreddieGray's death a homicide: "result of injuries obtained while unrestrained in the backed the police van while in police custody."

I was thinking he had active warrants which makes me wonder how do you illegally arrest someone with an active warrant?

From what I understand from the pc, he was arrested for carrying a switchblade. He did have a knife folded up on his body but it was not a switchblade or over 4" long, this it is being ruled as an illegal arrest.

He was not arrested based on any outstanding warrants. His arrest was for carrying an "illegal knife" which was actually legal under Maryland law.
