No, I’m not happy with our defensive performance the last 2 years, but that doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the academic resources available for any team member whether they play offense or defense. They are provided tutors if needed free of charge, they are provided online or in person study halls if needed, their schedules are catered to their time available. If you show up to class and put forth even a minimal amount of effort you will graduate. How many other players on the team are/were academically ineligible for the bowl game or even the regular season? How many other SR’s that were on schedule to graduate didn’t? We’ve got athletes getting their degrees in 3 years and then going on to graduate school, if Banks can’t get his in 4 or 5 years then it’s because he didn’t care enough about it to earn it.
