There’s a but of a difference between someone who says he won’t benefit personally laundering money through a shell company to buy boats and houses vs. a PAC paying disclosed fees to political consultants to conduct focus group research and produce campaign propaganda.

There’s probably some grift involved in both, and there’s probably some legitimate progress from both. Whether it’s legal seems like it’s tied to the expectations of the people giving the money.
Yeah it’s different in that these guys were idiots about it. But it’s basically how a lot of these political groups function - and on both sides.

Pacronym is a big Dem one and they’re similar. The founders pay consulting fees to their “consulting businesses“ of which they’re the only employee. They just got $2M this week from a dark money group to help in Biden’s re-election. Ironic since in the Dem platform this year they are vowing to rid “dark money” from politics when in fact they’re swimming in it.

Steve Bannon says ‘fiasco’ indictment aims to stop border wall construction

A defiant Steve Bannon claimed Thursday that his bombshell indictment on fraud and money-laundering charges was a “fiasco” caused by people who want to block the construction of the border.

As he walked out of Manhattan federal court in Lower Manhattan Thursday, Bannon ripped off his surgical mask before claiming to members of the press that “this entire fiasco is to stop people who want to build the wall.”

He was met by a handful of vocal supporters waving flags for the “New Federal State of China” government-in-exile that was cooked up earlier this year by Bannon and pal Guo Wengui — on whose yacht Bannon was arrested Thursday.

It would take a lot less time to make a list of Pompous Maximus’ advisors/cronies/toadies who have NOT been jailed or indicted. How can any one man be this bad of a judge of character to put this many derelicts/incompetent morons around you to govern this country? Of course, when one has absolutely no character, I suppose it’s impossible to judge character in others. This thing just gets better and better.

And then add the revelations this morning of the ex Homeland Security advisor that Trump has trouble focusing in meetings, won’t read written memos and goes off on crazy tangents when there is a crisis/issue, one has to wonder how this government is functioning. The DHS guy said Trump likes pictures though so some of them discussed coming up with a system of drawings to explain things to him. You know sort of like the kid’s books with Dick and Jane. It would be sad if the guy wasn’t deadly serious when he said it.

Are you referring to Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, Crooked Hillary Clinton?

Honestly, a pretty masterful sketch --it almost elicits a kind of pathos in the viewer. --Can't tell if the blue is for his eyes or tears...Well, no bourbon in federal prison, but maybe he can befriend the guy who makes toilet wine.s9brd6vfh8i51.png
