oh lawd..I see that let just ANYONE Mod these boards huh? lol j/k. Congrats man!!
I like this. Here's a question...
Do you think McBee sees his minutes decrease this season or gets back on track and actually shoots worth a darn?
40% is pretty good. The problem with McBee is he doesn't bring much to the table other than his shooting.
I don't know. It depends on if Q is A) For real. B) Can play the 3. C) McRae and Edwards can shoot the 3 consistently.
I don't see all three happening. He's not getting 25 mpg at any point, but I can't imagine he'll play less than 10 mpg. I say 15 mpg.
do you have a link, that will show what UTs offense is suppose to be doing ? and one for the Defense side too ? i watch every game that i can on the boob tube,i just want to understand the game better![]()
And I know it's just half way through the first half of an exhibition (and that UK eventually ends up winning big) but they don't look real sharp to me starting out.
Wasn't able to watch, but kept checking twitter updates...people were freaking out saying a D3 team was gonna beat them...obviously it didn't happen, but they obviously didn't play well either.
At the 10 minute mark in the first half, UK was winning 15-13. Not exactly a great start. Northwood stopped making shots and finally got exhausted trying to guard a D1 team that was significantly taller and bigger at every position. UK also finally figured out that with 2 basically 7 foot post guys, that a drive and pass/shot that ends up near the rim turns into a dunk.
Haha. Saw they didn't shoot the 3 much, or well either...could be like 2 years ago team? That they couldn't hit 3's and that's how teams started to play them, started to even play zone against them and give those outside shots.

With Goodwin and Wiltjer, UK should be able to shoot teams out of a zone. Last night they had a ton of turnovers early trying to make to many difficult passes. They finally just started going to the hole and it was either a make, a lob pass, or a miss and a dunk put back. I know they are going to get better as the season goes along, but Cal's past teams have been solid right out of the gate. Be interesting to see how this team plays against Duke a little over a week from now.
I hate to nit pick but the John Wall led team almost dropped a couple of close ones to some struggling programs early in the season. Just a case of some talented freshmen being freshmen. That being said, this Kentucky team will not be nearly as good as last years. Davis I am pretty sure was in SpaceJam.
This is UK's youngest team under Cal by far. They'll "struggle" early and then put it together in January.
Well so does Mizzou, but would you bet on either to make it?
My point is I would've probably last year, but I sure as hell wouldn't this year.
Many were believing the hype coming out of practices that our defense was going to be OK. That hasn't turned out well.I wouldn't bet on it either, but I think the point is that too many uninformed people are "predicting" UK will be down because they want it to be so, not because it's definitive truth. It's similar to the people who said our football team would go 10-2 this year.

This explains multiple motion offenses. This helped me out when I was learning the game.

In your opinion what makes the hype about our improved basketball team more believable?
