Battle @ Bristol vs. Cowboys Classic

Actually, technically UT has to do just that.

In the process of creating the new SEC schedule UT and Alabama agreed to maintain the yearly rivalry. Even spurrier wondered why they (UT) would do that even though it's obvious to fans on both sides. Don't act like it was forced upon UT and our fans, we wanted to play Bama. And yes, Bama is a much stronger program than FSU throughout the years.

I understand your point. But even if UT had taken the coward's way out and voted for the 8-2 model, the 8-1-1 model still would have prevailed, and UT would still be playing Bama every year.

But I do appreciate the fact that neither UT, nor Bama, has tried to get out of this series, even when long streaks of imbalance have occurred. Let LSU have that junk.

What happened over the course of the last 10 seasons is no longer a concern to either the Bama or UT football teams. What is on their radar is the last 3-4 years of recruiting and what that will translate to on the field this upcoming season and over the next few seasons. UT is winning on the recruiting trail right now and I guarantee you it's on Saban's radar. You don't ignore it when one of your top rivals has as much recruiting momentum as we do right now. That would just be stupid on their part.

Recruiting is recruiting. Sure, he's taken notice to our recruiting. Don't think it bothers him til it translates to wins.

If you don't think we're a major concern on Alabama's radar, you're the one who's not thinking. We're not far behind them on recruiting and don't take Saban to be the kind of coach who underestimates anyone or who likes to be upstaged by his bitter rival.

A major concern to Alabama would be Auburn and LSU. Plus your entire premise was they were concerned about any attention we get from the Bristol game. That concern is well down the list for them, if it even registers.

We still have a long way to go before we're a major concern for them.

It will be a story for that reason.

But, I don't think anyone outside of the South is going to care.

And even inside the South, I don't know what else is going on that day.

But, must see TV, it ain't.

Ill tell you what was must see TV.

Georgia Southern whooping dat Florida azz, and seeing the Florida Fans cry.

Georgia Southern vs Florida WAS on TV.

EDIT: I am not sure if this was on ESPN Gameplan, or if it was some other weird channel. But I did watch it.

If you watched it on TV, you paid extra to do so or you were sitting in a sports bar.

Otherwise, you had to watch it online.

Seriously bro, the reaching here is hard. The guy saying Alabama worrying about Tennessee is a big reach. But, the way your eyes are fixed on 99s belt buckle. That is something else.

But he said it will bother him when it translates to the field. You were saying it's some major concern to Saban right now.

30+ incoming freshmen/JUCO's with 14 of them EE's. Some of that will be translating to the field THIS season, hence the immediate concern for Saban.

You can't tell me the Bama coaching staff has already written off UT this year. Past success doesn't dictate the results on the field in the future. No matter what the line/predictions are for a game, upsets happen all the time.
