Bearden RB Devrin Young Commits to Tennessee!

wow a whole second

Amazing we are giving schollies to scout team cornerbacks now.

Wow, with all your recruiting knowledge it's awesome we get the honor of having you with us. It must be hard to find time for us when your on the road evaluating talent for your university, after all someone with such experience evaluating talent absolutely has to have a gig as a scout right?

that's where he got the special stopwatch - that rounds to the nearest second. It's a throwback thing - scouting in the roaring 20s.

a lot of recruiting videos have guys get down the sidelnes on a sweep for 80 yards. devrin seems to make his living in between the hashmarks. perfect return guy

Last year's Rivals100.com recruiting database featured around 40 players that claimed to have run 40 times in the 4.3-second range. However, looking at the NFL Combine results for the past few years something doesn't seem to compute.

The average time for running backs at this spring's NFL Combine was 4.62 seconds. The receivers averaged 4.52 seconds and the corners averaged 4.57-second times.

The point that you people missed in my post is the fact that Dooley is in over his head and crumpled to pressure from the Bearden HC who told him that he would close UT off from recruiting if he didnt get the offer.

Lame duck indeed.

Link? Besides, if that had any shred of truth, what are we missing out on? Another Colquitt? Those are pretty good.

Tell me again how many game breakers we've recruited from Bearden in the past...

I think Dooley offered Young because he wanted to...Young fits a role that Dooley has identified as something we lack and he filled it with a capable player who also happens to be a local player and someone who grew up a Vol fan...

But you keep on believing your sound logic if you want to...it makes perfect sense that Dooley caved to the thought of being cutoff from the NFL pipeline that is Bearden High

he's just trolling (and I'd recommend putting him on ignore) but Bearden does have 2 players currently in the NFL. Doubt either were coached by the current guy though

It's obvious to those who have at least one iota of football knowledge. You're the type of fan that listens to Basilio and Rucker all day and cant wait till Big Will calls in to talk about the local "talent."

I am shaking my head at how people make it in this world without getting their head cracked.

if devrin runs wild on the rebels, i will be feeling even better. im glad his dream of playing for the vols has come true and i he hope is an outstanding player and a well-disciplined player off the field
