Beer (and beer pics!)

Sitting at Wicked Weed. Any bottle suggestions to take home?

Not sure if it's available year round or not, but I have had Dark Age and thought it was really good. It's an imperial stout. I have only had a few of theirs, but we have planned a trip to Asheville in September.

The girlfriend likes ciders, so we went to a Diskin Cider launch at M.L. Rose on Monday. They are supposed to open a Cider House in Nashville at some point in the near future, but have started releasing some stuff. We tried one of their Pineapple Ciders that was prettt good, a fruit tea and cherry bourbon that were decent, and an English dry cider that I didn't care for.

Overall, not bad. I'm not a huge Cider fan but can drink one on occasion and I will try hers if it's something I haven't tasted before.

Wiseacre. Ghost River may have something decent in their taproom.

You just aren't going to get the distribution that you do out west.
Memphis Made was my favorite spot. Wiseacre double IPA was good. Everything else was average. Belgian IPAs need to die

Everyone has different tastes. I like Memphis Made's location but not a fan of many of their beers. I can find something to drink from all of them, but I think Wiseacre is clearly the best brewery in town. Tiny Bomb is my craft beer Bud Light that I drink when I know I am going to drink for a while. I think Rockets in the Complex is a nice brown ale.

All the locations were cool. Hit high cotton, boscos (sucks), wiseacre, meddlesome and Memphis made.

At the San Jose Earthquakes soccer match had Sculpin, Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Lagunitas IPA. While these are readily available, it is nice having quality beers at sporting events.

HenHouse Oyster Stout - not as briny as other oyster stouts I have had, wish it were more so, but it is a very easy drinking slightly roasty Stout.
