I kinda wish we would've let EB return a few punts. But then again, I don't think we were ever deep enough in terms of quality defensive backs to do that without worrying about the risk of injury

yeah - we barely ever used Berry on KO or punt returns. He would've had quite a few more highlights if we had given him the opportunity.

Yep had nothing to do with him locking down the other teams #1 and still making plays. I liked berry and he was very good but malcolm deserved it that year.
I watched them both throughout the year. Berry was better and it wasn't even remotely close.

As did I and cover corner >this play making safety. Berry was good but jenkins most definitely deserved it that year.

No he wasn't. Berry was a better player in just about every way. You put him on that OSU team and he's unquestionably their best defensive back.

Berry would start yes but he wouldn't be their best. Hell morgan burnette had just as good of a year as berry.

Dale Carter > Matthieu is a better argument IMO, when his head was in the game. He was like the best of both worlds: a playmaker and a shutdown cover guy. If Pickens had got to play DB more, I think you would see similar results.

Berry then may be better than Jenkins is now, even in the pros. If Berry was eligible for the draft, he easily goes before Jenkins.

Jenkins was 2nd team all-pro and was a key contributor on a superbowl winning team so I wouldn't say that. However they are 2 of the best young safeties in the game.

Berry was a pro bowler as a rookie and a team captain about 10 games into his NFL career.
