Missionaries... here let me post this again. No one will go to Hell because they haven't heard of Jesus Christ. The heathen will go to Hell for murder, rape, adultery, lust, theft, lying, etc. Sin is not failing to hear the Gospel, "sin is transgression of the Law" (1 John 3:4). If we really care about them, we will become missionaries and take the good news of God's forgiveness in Christ to them. As a lot are doing.

Basic human nature?

Can't you follow the Bible and come to the conclusion the above mentioned people will go to hell because of their sins?

Top Ten Scientific Facts Proving Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution Is Wrong, False and Impossible.

I think this will help you PJ. It's very long, so if you have the time I think it's worth reading.

of course some of Darwin's theories have been proven wrong. He was the first (or one of) to lay it out there for the masses and really didn't have much to work with at the time.

But to think a site called biblelife.org is going to come to a huge scientific breakthru is a little naive. I skimmed it but it was a little too cartoonish. And this line was classic

Human pride prevents people from admitting they were wrong in believing Charles Darwin's evolutionary myth.

I feel that God created the Earth using the natural laws that he put in place. IMO, Genesis is not a literal telling of seven 24 hour days of instant creation. Those "days" represent Eons. Why couldn't He use evolution as his method of creation?

I believe you have it about as close as we can probably get to understanding it all. I do believe evolution had some part to play. I just do not know exactly where I would draw the line there personally.

And I'll put one out there: prove creationism. Give any evidence that it happened

We are here! I know it is very simplistic but the alternative would be something like a tornado rumbling through a junk yard and leaving a functioning toaster in it's wake.

Faith really is not about proof.

I know but it's also viewed as unchallengeable. People who use science are attacked all the time when wrong but a person with faith just says it is what it is and you can't prove me wrong. It's the biblical version of "I'm rubber you're glue..."

And I'll put one out there: prove creationism. Give any evidence that it happened

The best evidence for creation and design is within all of us. It is our reality. It is what we see, feel, touch, smell and our overall consciousness. It is knowing what it is like to be me. Generally, it is very easy for us to distinguish between natural and created items. Even the staunchest evolutionists admit that living things appear designed. That is why evolutionist Richard Dawkins wrote the book titled “The Blind Watchmaker.”

The Bible states in Romans 1:20: “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”

Although evolutionists agree that things look designed, they argue that nature has some powerful things up its sleeve that can produce what appears to be designed through a natural random process. The obvious physical evidence that would result if their theory were true is multitudes of transitional fossils filling our museums. Their existence would make a strong argument for macroevolution but, if missing, a strong case for creation. Evolutionists would love to present us with such evidence, but they are unable to because the transitional fossils don’t exist! That is powerful physical evidence for creation.

Also, much physical evidence exists that directly supports creation and a young earth. One is evidence that shows that everything on earth is undergoing devolution rather than evolution. This fact of science and the supporting evidence presented here was documented by scientist, Dr. Joseph Mastropaolo, in a booklet titled “Biology for the 21st Century.” Genetic disorders in humans were shown to be increasing exponentially. This is the opposite of evolving toward higher species. Likewise the population on earth is increasing exponentially. Dr. Carl Baugh documented evidence that shows that the magnetic field on the earth is decreasing exponentially. All this physical evidence points toward a young earth and devolution rather than evolution.

I guess it is what it is.

I know this is off topic, but hey it is my thread....

All Grant meant was Lee would come at him. Grant would never have to chase after Lee.

When Grant was talking about Johnston he simply meant Johnston would run and fight on his terms which in the end it would take a lot longer to win the war.

I think Grant was correct in his observation.

I agree as Johnston was prone to withdraw to prolong the battle as he did at Richmond and in the Atlanta Campaign. His only victory was a relative minor battle at Kennesaw Mountain.

Everyone will hear about Jesus somehow. Everyone is given a chance to either accept him or not. Show me something that tells me there are billions of people who are not given the chance?

China has over a BILLION people that have NEVER heard the gospel. There is one Christian missionary for every 1.2 million people in China.

I'm sure they know about right or wrong. I am sure they have heard about christianity. I have a hard time believing that billions of people in China have not heard about christ.

Not billions, but yes millions probably have not. It is not that hard to imagine.

We tend to think of China as crowded cities with wall to wall people. While that is true of the major cities, millions live in rural areas on small farms where contact with outsiders is limited. I can easily see how a substantial number could not know about the Gospel.

My Church sponsors a China missionary family and they are back in the States for a vacation. They gave a report to us last Sunday morning. No one is allowed to teach the Gospel in an open manner anywhere in China. It has to be in a private, "designated" setting.
And, yes, there are more than a BILLION people in China that have not heard the message of Jesus Christ.

Yea, I have a co-worker with a brother in China. He is supposedly teaching English, which he does, but it is not his real reason there. Keeps the other business on the down low.

95% of the people that live in those cities have been prevented, by the government, from hearing the Gospel. Our missionary in China lives in a city that you and i have never heard of. That city has 2.3 million people in it. He said that less than 10,000 have been allowed to hear the truth. Giving out Bibles is against the law.

10-4 on that, our missionary is there on a student visa to "go to a university". That is how he makes contacts and spreads the word.
