That is great.
Growing up in Coffee County, I know the level of medical care available there. It is almost always best to get treatment elsewhere.

I try not to come across like that but when I am constantly told I'm wrong, have warped thinking, damned to hell (which is actually funny to a person like me), etc it kinda ticks me off. It shouldn't but it does. I've seen people with similar beliefs as mine given such hell in threads like these on VN that they quit posting altogether. I have a problem with people telling me that if I don't live my life by the rules of a book written by man then I am worth less than they are. I ask, is that truly the message you are trying to send?

Here you have a chance to do what dozens of posts in this thread claim is the job of all Christians, spread the word to non-believers, but when given the chance most choose to point fingers and call names. I am comfortable with who I am and what I believe but it seems many here are just paying lip service to what they believe. Again I ask, is that truly the message you are trying to send?

As for the other part of your post, there are billions of people in the world right now who may hear the word "Christian" but never have the opportunity to know what it means (besides maybe infidel). The fact that the hard-line Christians say they will never get to enjoy the afterlife that their creator made for them is pure arrogance IMO.

I spent most of my earlier life in a large church in Knoxville. I know the scriptures and I know what I was taught they mean. At a point I actually studied them and the history of the church/Bible and decided I did not believe much of what was said. Many people do and that's great but it's not for me. I apologize if I have offended anyone but if challenging their beliefs like they challenge mine is wrong then this place just wouldn't be fun anymore.

It seems to me you're kind of sensitive to this. I have never pointed a finger at you or anyone else on here. I was curious about the attitude you have, I'm really not interested in trying to change your mind. When you come in here "challenging people's beliefs" as you put it, I feel I have as much a right to say something as you do. I will never put you down for thinking any way you wish, all I ask is that you do the same for me... I'll be honest, your attitude is coming off as I'm basically a raging hypocrite when you don't even know me. I can find fault with a lot of religions, yet most seem to only want to bash Christianity, and I find that funny and sad at the same time.

I feel that God created the Earth using the natural laws that he put in place. IMO, Genesis is not a literal telling of seven 24 hour days of instant creation. Those "days" represent Eons. Why couldn't He use evolution as his method of creation?

Becase people confuse evolution with adaptation.

Saying that there is no creator is like opening the back of a wrist watch and believing that all of the parts, gears, hands, and glass were just peices of scrap metal that came together and formed this brilliant machine

No it's not, I can see and talk to the watchmaker.

Prove evolution. You can't. If you want to think everything happened by chance, go ahead. I simply can't fathom that.

It is exceedingly difficult to prove anything as absolute fact. As for everything happening by chance, the first step is to realize that chance is a human concept.

I should tell you guys that I am agnostic, mainly because of my firm believe that the existence of God can be neither proven nor disproven. However, I am of the mind that it is much more likely that God does not exist.

If you go by the odds, they would have to be so low a scientist would have to calculate them.

Kind of like Sabo's offense.:hi:
