Listen it is a case that has causes discussions, wars, changed minds, and tons of thought and debate for thousands of years I am not going to change your mind on a Tennessee Vols Forum nor will you change mine, but it is good discussion and my faith is strong so I will continue to share it as long as it remains civil as it has.

Oh, I certainly wasn't attempting to be combative, I just didn't like the analogy.

hey now, he had two good years.

If he would have taken off those stidip goggles, he could have seen the ball.
Sabo is the "common man's" hero in MLB. He worked harder than most and made it because of his will to play.
I liked watching him play.

Prove evolution. You can't. If you want to think everything happened by chance, go ahead. I simply can't fathom that.

the whole point is that it's not chance. You seem to want it all wrapped up in a nice box with a bow and that's fine. I honestly believe that's how religion came to be, people had to have an explanation for things they couldn't understand/comprehend. It's completely natural but it's not the way I want to view things. I don't see unbelievable things happen and want to instantly attach them to a man in the sky.

That post is very condenscending in nature. It's not wanting things wrapped up in a bow, it's common sense. Look at all the functions of your body. If you think that's an accident then go ahead. I could post links where science is actually proving Creationism, but you won't read them and if you do you'll come up with a reason it's wrong, so why bother. It seems to me you're guilty of the very thing you accuse Christians of being. I look at my daughter and think how wonderful she is, and can remember her birth clearly. But you're right, I want to attach that to a "man in the sky".

That can be said about science too. I understand where you are coming from pj. I have been there myself and try my very best not to be condescending to anyone about their beliefs. I look at it this way there is as much proof for God as their is for say evolution or "the big bang theory". I do believe but it would be safe to say that I believe a little differently than most Christians. We could argue back and forth all day long about the specifics but at the end of the day you will see your reasons for not believing and I will see reasons to believe. All I can do as a Christian is try to point those out to you without making you feel like I have beaten you over the head or raked you over the coals about it. In the end it will just make you less receptive and defeat my purpose. We as Christians should all remember this.

Science cannot prove Creationism, it is impossible by nature. However, science really can't prove anything, it can only present sound evidence in support of something. Besides, if it could, it would present a fundamental flaw in one of the major components of religion, belief based on faith.

There hasn't been one post where I've said anyone's opinion is ignorant or otherwise. I feel like I'm constantly defending my beliefs.

But even if it proved we were created, some would still not believe because like you they need tangible proof. It's still about faith either way IMO.

I dont mean this disrespectful:

Your entire mindset will come crashing down, when one day you are face to face with the person you doubt.

It is because you are taking others beliefs (which are different from your own) personally as attacks on your belief system. You are not at fault for that it is just you deeply rooted belief that you are right and they are wrong. Others will be just as passionate that their beliefs are right and yours are wrong. All you can do is be understanding and do what you can do and not take things personally (not saying that you are) remember we are all human and get passionate about what we believe in, it is a human trait that cannot be denied. Do not feel that you have to justify anything to anyone about your belief system.

Someone saying I need things wrapped up in a box or beliving in a man in the sky is a little combative. When I attack his thought process, then I'm being combative. And I like pj (sometimes :)), I just think it was a little like being patted on the head and being told when I grow up I'll know better.

If your purpose is to win this man over you are not going about it the right way.

Too many Christians think that you can scare people into belief. God tells us specifically, that not all that hear will believe. All we can do is keep tilling.

Maybe I am wrong........ but doesn't this fall in line with sowing a seed?

What kind of seed are you sowing with that mindset?

and if that happens I say the same things I've said here in this thread. Millions of people are being tortured, raped, abused, murdered, etc and yet you did nothing to stop their suffering. I did my best to help people and make their lives easier in my general area and you don't want me because I didn't choose your religion over the rest?

Please hit the down arrow for me...
