Why would any oil company want to drill with this type of regime?
Why would investors want to invest with a regime threatening to wipe out the gas companies.
These companies look years down the road Concerning investing money in drill sites, etc... so I understand their reluctantly in committing when you have your idiot dem party demanding they be closed down. This is where reality and ideologue fantasy collide.
the answer is still yes, the government does have influence concerning prices.
Fixed that for you.
U.S. producers reluctant to drill more oil, despite sky-high gas prices
Record-high gas prices won't be solved by drilling more oil in the US. Here's why
Drilling vs returns. U.S. oil producers' tradeoff as windfall tax threatens
Don’t Look to Oil Companies to Lower High Retail Gasoline Prices
Stop. Just stop. Walk away. You are about to dip your toe into a world of facts that do not support your facebook and twitter bullet points.
Here some reality for you to chew on.
Biden's "regime" approved 34% more oil drilling leases than trump did, in his first year.

Trump Bans Oil Drilling Off Florida, Georgia, South Carolina
If you had a lick of common sense you'd recognize that not drilling more and not building refineries is expensive a sh*t and the ROI on that takes decades to recoup. Something that shareholders don't want to wait for.

Facts aren't hard to carry.
I don't like Joe either but trying to pin high gas prices on him not being nice to oil companies isn't that convincing.

Do you really think that the potato head going to war with the oil and gas industry from his first day in office had a positive effect on bringing down oil prices?Facts aren't hard to carry.

Also, after those 600 were approved the majority didn’t use the land at all.Trump played politics with EXTENDING the Obama ban on drilling off the coast of FL, GA and SC that was scheduled to end in 2022, so yeah he deserves criticism for that.
But trying to promote Biden has allowed more oil drilling permits per month than Trump in their first year is propaganda at it's worst. The Biden administration approved 633 more leases in 2021 than the Trump administration did in 2020 only after a court threw out Biden's EO pausing all new leases. Also look at where the price of oil was in 2017 compared to 2021.
New York and New England start RATIONING Heating Oil before winter as Stockpiles Slump by 70% and fears rise that families will be left in the cold
Heating oil suppliers in the Northeast and New England have begun rationing the key fuel ahead of winter, after stockpiles dropped to a third of their normal levels.
Concerns are rising that supply shortages and soaring prices will leave families in the cold this winter, particularly in New England, which is more reliant on heating oil than other parts of the country.
Chris Herb, president of the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association, told Bloomberg recently that heating oil wholesalers are beginning to limit allocations for retail suppliers.
The rationing measures, intended to prevent panic buying and hoarding, are in turn being imposed on consumers, limiting the amount of heating oil they can purchase, said Herb.
