Big recruiting news!!

So with everything being said, I'll welcome Nance to the Volunteer family with or without Da'Rick. I know we are all hoping that it's a packaged deal but if it's not, this kid chose the Vols. I would love nothing more for him to be the underdog story. Hopefully not at the expense of the Bray's who moved here from Cali. But maybe Nance can redshirt or or Bray can go pro after his junior seasons and Nance can shock Vol nation by dominating as a junior or senior. Obviously now that seems beyond unlikely but would be a cool story if it happened.

Welcome to the family Nash. Work your butt off and maybe you'll get the chance to prove the doubters wrong. Myself included, no offense. I'm rooting for you though.

You want to give us a break down of the tape while you are at it? I mean, I assume that you know what you are talking about.

So the other guy says Lamaison is lost in the shuffle and you call me out on saying I believe Lamaison would see the field first using basic logic? Physically and mentally Lamaison is more developed. How about you try giving your input instead of acting like HatVol. That would be a good start.

Got to give coach Dooley some credit here, He hit the ground running and is holding this class together well...The ones who left are going to be the ones who will be missing out...I hope Rogers commits to us as well...Regardless I welcome young Mr. Nash to Tennessee and hope he has a great career there.

I don't understand why people aren't excited about this. He is a 2 star based on a recruiting service. But our OC wanted him and developed qb's like Brees and Orton. If he wants him and thinks he can be a good qb then that should be good enough for us. If we get Rogers, too, then that is pretty sweet. But let's not knock the kid because he is a 2 star or doesn't bring his receiver buddy.

Im not saying that hes lost in the shuffle. If Nick, Tyler and Simms all went down, then Lamaison would play this year ahead of Nance. But Im saying that I think that Nance has a better chance during his time at UT to see playing time than Lamaison does.

Da'rick should look at the lies Richt fed to Marlon Brown. He guaranteed Brown a lot of playing time as a freshman. Brown had 2 catches on the season I believe. With that being said, I would gladly trade Marlon for Rogers. Georgia fans got to pump their fist over that commitment. I'd like to show them my elbow with this commitment. Hopefully Rogers will help us out with this one.

More like snap their neck with it. This dude is their highest rated recruit in this class, Marlon would'nt have been ours he would have been our 3rd highest rated recruit last year. I like the way you think BTW.

They aren't excited b/c he ONLY has 2 stars. Do we really need to bring back the thread about #of stars and All-American/All-Conference honors? From what I've seen the guy has major upside; he had a 3,000yrd sr season w/ 26TDs. Plus, he's an intelligent guy; managed to keep a 4.0. I'd be willing to bet the majority on here weren't able to keep a GPA that high in hs, I know I wasn't. I welcome Mr. Nance to the VOL family.

I didnt want to say anything about Nance unless we got him... But this is a HUGE pickup. The kid was accepted at Vandy, so he's gotta be more than just smart. Smart kids don't get into Vandy, geniuses do. Plus, he has a quicker throwing motion than everybody else except maybe Simms. AND... He can run.... The kid was dusting secondaries on his highlight video. Working with Ausmus will make the kid have a laser arm. Working with Chaney, with the help of his spongy brain, will help him learn quicker... And working with Hunter, Milton, Meline, (and hopefully Rogers) for 4 years will make him the reason that more TN parents start naming their kid "Nash". I'm gonna expect alot from this kid.

Will Delvin ever recommit? I am worried most about him.

Delvin, Da'Rick and Stone all need to go ahead and just commit. :)

Delvin Jones is a non qualifier per most all opinions
rumors are that he has still not taken the SAT or ACT and that is a problem if he wants to sign a LOI taht means anything or go to school soon...

I was, but then I am smart enough to be glad to get this guy, too.

If Chaney likes this kid, then I like this kid. I mean Chaney has coached a couple of underrated QB's at Purdue.....calling Super Bowl starting QB for the Saints "Mr Brees".
