BJ Coleman and the Mocs (merged)

I can see both sides to this debate. My thoughts are BJ's feelings got hurt by the coaching staff, he went back to his hometown (where he is viewed as a God send and will be safe), used the media to promote his point of view and is now being discussed in the wrong thread. This should be discussed in the NCAA thread since he is no longer part of UT football.

That properly depicts the reaction we had anytime someone from Chattanooga opened their mouth in class.

That accurately reflects the look on the face of someone from Chattanooga when it is explained to them that the South actually lost the Civil War.

You've only met people from the *back side of Signal, obviously.

*No offense to our inhabitants of God's country.

In my personal experience, I've never been around someone who brings up how they attended law school and tells stories about when they attended law school if they ended up actually graduating from law school. Just an observation. Perhaps you're a stunning lawyer practicing in a successful firm.

That's because you've never been around me. I consider that a good thing.

So you do practice? Why do you consider it a good thing that I'm not around you? I don't believe we know each other so how can you be so sure.

By the way, where do you practice?

Yes. I've hit my quota of Alabama fans as friends or collegues.

Knoxville, for now.

It had better be NAIA, carson-newman beat them last year.

Glenville State is basically collecting a paycheck from UTC to take a beating. But it's very possible that UTC might not win another game the rest of the season.

I didn't leave anything out. You wouldn't have been satisfied regardless of what he did or didn't say. .... .

The fact that other players who quit the team ride off into the sunset never to be discussed again, blows your argument.

I've dealt with enough of the prissy little whiners that McCallie produces to have more than a clue. In law school, it was the one thing that united the folks from Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville: A total contempt for the halfwit momma's boys from Chattanooga.

Nothing unites the legion of the miserable as having a winner in their midst.

Good observation. Fulmer did make it pretty miserable around here the past couple of years. I am happy to see that you have come around with your thinking on CLK and Co.

That should be the slogan for Crappanooga: "We're not stupid, it's the rest of the world that's nuts." They could also use: "Chattanooga: We're Tennesseans because Georgia won't have us." Another possibility: "Chattanooga: Our football icons are a whacked out religious nut and a washout QB. We Rule!" Also: "Chattanooga: Where logic and reason go to die."

He left one school to have a chance to play. Period. He wanted to be on the field playing football more than he wanted to sit on the bench at Tennessee. Why is that so hard to understand?

And you don't to say it. Yes, he quit the team. DUH! You have to quit one job before you can start another.

Never signed a Letter of Intent have ya? Never been part of a team at the College level have ya?
If you had, I would discuss "understanding" with you.

I find it funny that such an educated and polished person, which you obviously are from what I've gathered through years of reading your posts on here, can let Chattanooga make you totally lose all control and post trivial pot shots and other general drabble on an athletic fan site. Your posts are normally very entertaining and I enjoy reading them, but this is just a little much.

Also, nothing to do with you Hat, but how the fans of a team that has been fantastically mediocre for years can waste time bashing another team for being bad is hilarious. So much time spent complaining about how the media hates the Vols and how it dwells in what happened in previous years..."Why can't they understand last year is last year?"... and then you turn right around and say the same thing about someone else. Very hipocritical.

UTC won only 1 game last year, but last year is last year, right? I am excited (and hopeful) about the new era of UTC Football, just like I am about the new era of UTK Football.

I'm glad you're here BJ!
