...and stoops scheduled them the year they went 3-8...I wonder how much input Stoops really has on the schedule.
Why do you not include Alabama and Oregon? Bama was pretty good in 2002.

Oregon was not the years they played Oklahoma(in the regular season) nor the years those games were scheduled...(unranked in 2002 and 2004).
Those would certainly be the reasons why I would not include them.
A big name doesn't exactly mean a good team...see Notre Dame, 1999.
Well, with an argument like that, who can stay unconvinced that Stoops does schedule tough non conference games...
All 8 years of it?!?! Wow! Also, by good program, do you mean one that has finished in the Top 25 only 3 times?Oregon has been a good program most of this century. I don't see anything wrong with scheduling them.
I'm not saying they are all tough, but I'm not going to act like he's only had one tough OOC game his entire time at OU.
Oregon might not finish this year in the Top 25. So, 2000, 2001, and 2005 they finish in the Top 25 and now they are good lately?Oregon has been good lately, thus when scheduling them in the near future, one could expect to face a team of equal quality.

Funny, that someone with such low standards of quality would want Fulmer gone at UT...
Don't let facts get in the way of your argument or anything like that...They'll finish in the top 25 this year. Had Dennis Dixon not gotten hurt they'd more than likely be getting ready to face Ohio State right now. I don't know what you want to see. He's facing top 25 OOC teams. In 2001, they were a top 3 team.
Starting the season unranked and playing OU first, TCU in 2005 was nothing more than Hawaii this year. You can add them to the list, and yes, factually, they finished in the Top 15. If that comforts you, go for it. However, take em or leave em, it sure doesn't do a hell of a lot to help your argument.TCU.
8 years?!?! Wow. Games are usually scheduled two years out. In exceptional cases, three years. For god's sake, what do you expect? Stoops to have a crystal ball to look eight years into the future and schedule only opponents that will be in the top 25 then? Every year OU has an OOC opponent that could reasonably be expected to be a top 25-type team, when they could just instead collect another $3m payday for having another home sellout against a directional school. There aren't many major-conference schools doing much better.
