Bobby Johnson resigning from Vandy..

relavance?
The relevance is simple: Teams with no football history to speak of don't get to talk trash to their fellow historical bottomfeeders. Cal-Stanford is no different than Indiana-Minnesota. Nobody outside the two campuses care.

+1

I hope they hire Fulmer. I'd enjoy the chance to beat him on an annual basis as punishment for running UT into the ground.

Bobby Johnson is lying through his teeth right now about "just decided to retire." As if coaches just leave in the middle of July.

He is retiring from it all. He loves it but wants to be with family now.

The interesting question is who will replace him.

Is it a serious thought that Fulmer would be interested?

Why not??? He took Vanderbilt to their glory day. He's already a legend there, no need to taint the legacy with another 1-2 win season.

Compared to what? His overall record isn't any better than DiNardo's was.
He did have one of Vandy's TWO bowl wins. He had also produced first round talent to the NFL in which Vandy has rarely done if ever. It will be almost impossible to sustain a winning record as a coach there with the conference competition, terrible facilities and academic standards. When it comes to coaching jobs, that place is a death bed, and I personally feel like he did a hell of a lot with what they have to work with.

sorry. i didn't have the hatvol rulebook available.

I'd say it would be easier to get wins at Duke in a weaker ACC, however both are much more difficult to get students in
