Agree that he has no character or moral compass, but it is noteworthy that none of his teams have ever been in ncaa trouble.

How many parents are going to let their son go play football for that nut? It will have an affect.

I think Auburn is going to hire him.
He is for sure on their interview list.
It was reported on Yahoo sports that the AD at Auburn is not leaving Petrino out of consideration.
If they hire him and he does well at Auburn, I guess we will find out next year.
Auburn is on our schedule in 2013.

Parents will not remember his checkered past after he wins a lot of games and some time passes. Just saying

That's funny considering you probably don't even know the names of 99% of the people college football let alone anything about their character.

I also don't see how a "dirty" team deserves double digit wins year in and year out and BCS bowls because that what hiring BP will get you.

Petrino was integrity-impaired even before he went to Arkansas. Just ask the Falcons fans. Leopards don't change their spots; they can't.

The arguments against Petrino are mind boggling, especially when we have people who want to hire Tressel. It's delusional, Petrino is the best coach who will come here. You have to give and take to get the right guy, newsflash, Saban isn't coming. It's amazing how people want a superhuman choirboy coach who can do it all. Petrino is right there, is overqualified compared to Strong and others. He wins, he's cheap, SEC success as a head coach, coaches up 2 and 3*'s to win. I know this will be replied to with, " hes a scumbag", and "he hasn't beat bama". So I implore you, to please get your head out of the clouds, come back to reality, and realize this is the best man for the job.

I stand by my statement. There are 100's of thousands of people in college football (some of which are pedaphiles, thieves, and beat women I might add). 99%+ of which you don't even know their name let alone a single thing about their character. So sorry for thinking that someone saying BP is "the worst human being in college football" is irrational and idiotic. Right off the bat I can tell you I have two kids and I'd trust them in the hands BP over Brain Kelly without hesitation. At least they'd come home alive.

Also BP has been a HC at two different universities and within 3 years of taking the job has had mulitiple 10+ win seasons and BCS births at both.

A couple of things he is not trust worthy and most important he was 2-6 vs. LSU and Bama while at Arkansas. Both wins came against LSU. :ermm:

There's no doubt that's a legitimate point and I'm not completely ignoring but...

2-2 against LSU teams that probably had twice the talent isn't bad and there's nobody in America whose really had much success against Saben. Find me someone who has and is available and I'll gladly get behind the hire.

I dont get people ragging on Petrino for losing to bama. Although he had Arkansas doing good I think people forget its still Arkansas. Put Petrino over at Bama and Saban at Arkansas and people would be ragging on Saban.

I know I will be blasted for this so let me state my reasons.
1) Very sucessful in the SEC
2) Will have facilities second to none
3) Relentless worker & recruiter
4) We will be able to secure him for less then 2 million allowing us to have a say in & large payroll for the new o.c. & d.c. if we choose not to maintain Cheney.
5) Finally I believe you can do a reverse buyout here. If Petrino decides to resort to his old tricks wether bolting for a better job or be-friending a lovely co-ed from East Tennessee he has to pay us a minimum of $5 Million.

Call me loco but I believe he is the best available to bring us back to the promise land the quickest, Roast away

I will gladly roast. How do you sit in the living rooms of recruits and preach to their parents about how you're going to lead and guide their son for the next 4 years. Parents want to know that their kids are going to grow not only on the football field, but also into respectable adults. I want this program turned around as quick as anyone, but I don't want Patrino's finger prints on any of it. You're embarrassed at our program now?? Imagine having to defend you're coaches image to everyone outside of the volnation. We can and WILL do better.
