he doesnt need to be an elite recruiter. The guy won 11 games in 2011 with average talent. He won 10 games in 2010. Had 11 wins at Louisville one year, had 12 wins another. That makes him ELITE. The guy is the best coach in college football.

I think with the same level of talent Petrino wins just as many games as Saban or anyone else.

Amen. Give me a coach who can take a 3 star guy and make him a 4 or 5 star player. There are plenty of 5 star guys who don't pan out. Just look at USC with all their talent and poor performance on the field. Then look at Boise and their ability to get the most out of the players.

I would have been fine with a Petrino hire. Obviously, Hart is not considering him in any way. With him being available today, and since the search began, news that Hart had interviewed him would have already hit the press. Better to just forget this option.
