Why is it that people can pull for 2 pro teams..but if you pull for 2 college teams you are "unfaithful" or a band wagon jumper?
I have no ties to nether Tennessee nor Boise St. other than I live in Tennessee and I have Family in Boise. I just like them both. I just think that right now Boise State is the Better football team. and being a fan. I'm all for Boise trying to win the NC.
I'm all for Tennessee wining the NC..but that, My friends AIN'T happening no time soon.

Because UT football is like a religion thats why. And even if you have 2 pro teams most people have a clear favorite. Example: I grew up a cowboys fan but I was born and raised in Nashville and always wanted a pro team. When we got the titans they were #1 without question. So when the titans play dallas this year I am not all "well i just want to see a good game" SCREW THAT. Romo could break his leg for all I care if it means the titans are gonna get the win.

From judging your post it seems that you would pull for Boise over UT right now because they have a better chance to get to the NC. THAT AIN'T GONNA FLY AROUND HERE DUDE. You can't have both and expect people to understand on this message board ,you either bleed orange or you don't. If you don't thats fine BUT know that no matter what your screen name says or who you have listed as your favorite teams your gonna get blasted on this board. Like I posted before these guys live, eat, and breath UT football.

It's ok to be a fan of a team, and then like and cheer for another. It isn't the same thing, and they really don't conflict unless those teams play against each other on a fairly frequent basis.

If he likes Boise, he likes Boise. Oh well.

I do understand. I like MTSU but when the vols play them next year I hope MTSU gets shutout. If you read the OP's post it seems like he has 2 favorite teams which seems RETARDED to me. Almost as RETARDED as being on a Vols message board when you like Florida and Oregon. What's up the gators and the GEESE don't have message boards?

But according to your own logic, it's impossible for you to enjoy watching and pulling for MTSU as you're a fan of Tennessee. You either bleed orange, or you don't. Watching and enjoying football outside of your realm of orange should be out of the question.

What's retarded about talking football outside of a linear point of view?

It's a world of diffrence in Liking 2 top 10 programs that both go after the same recruits, and are fighting for a NC and loving the vols but also supporting a insignificant sunbelt team that are no threat to the vols in any way. Like i stated before I was blasting the OP because if you read his post he doesn't understand why people are harping on him for claiming to be a Vols fan but starting a Boise st lovefest thread. Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps I grew up a fan of one team, and had the opportunity to attend the other?

The thing is, Oregon isn't a consistent top 10 team. Their recruiting is inconsistent, and they've never had a top 10 class. Oregon and Florida DO NOT compete for recruits. Oregon gets left overs that Texas, USC, and Florida, do not want. Oregon has never won a national title, and chances are they never will. For the better part of their existence, they've been the doormat of the Pac-10. They have a losing record in bowl appearances and have only appeared in a hand full of BCS games. THEY ARE NOT a perennial powerhouse, and cheering for them doesn't conflict with being a Florida fan.

I'm a Gator at heart. I'm not dressing up like a Duck and walking around with a quacking device. However, I do pull for them and enjoy watching the product they put on the field.

Nevada is going to be trouble for them. It was 44-33 last year in Boise, and Nevada is a lot better now than it was a year ago. The two years before that were 69-67 in a bunch of OTs, and 41-34.

You might see a 13-0 Nevada crashing this year's BCS after beating Boise...but they won't be in the national championship game.

If those teams are both unbeaten when they play and Boise wins, though, that might just give them the SOS boost they need.

I'm glad to know that when Boise St. starts to suck and we get back on top WE WILL HAVE YOUR SUPPORT:crazy:. I'm disgusted by the fact that you used to be a vols fan. College and Pros are two different beast. Pros i could care less about because it's a band name that you attach to whatever region you are living in at the time. Baseball i have been a Braves fan and then moved to Tampa and became a Rays fan. NFL i honestly care more about my fantasy football players than any teams playing. When it comes to college sports its more of a connection and dying loyalty that i will have for the Vols till the day i die. Im sorry you cant seem to experience that. Enjoy ESPN telling you who to like.

As a native Idahoan who was born not far from Boise, you make me sick grim. You have no real loyalty. You choose teams like ice cream flavors.

Since you have no "real ties" to Tennessee, cut them lose. Be a Boise fan. But STAY a Boise fan when they wane as well. You are missing out on the fan experience by being so fair-weather.
