BOISE WINS...again

Tennessee isn't that low, either. After the next 2 games, I think you could argue UT has played the toughest schedule in the country.

Before the UGA game, 104.5 the Zone in Nashville said that UT was 4th in SOS. It's definitely going up after the Bama & USC2 games.

Looking at the Washington Huskies schedule, they'll probably end up being #1 SOS when they're done.

I'm just presenting you with the mathematical facts.
it's all in that link I posted..I'm not telling myself anything..I just read the findings.

"Facts" based on wildly varying opinions are hardly worth posting. All you have proven is that someone besides you actually respects Boise's schedule.

Let's see who Boise's big opponents are this season.

You've got an overrated VA Tech squad, a mid tier Pac-10 team in Oregon State, and a Nevada team that just lost to Hawaii last night.

Yeah, that screams national title contender to me. Until Boise mans up and takes a couple of 2 for 1 games that have been put on the table, they shouldn't be playing for a national title.

Bleymaier: "I think we've really dropped the ball as an organization. The NCAA could mandate this at any time. Oregon, Oregon State are return games. Ole Miss (next year), Washington, Arkansas and Arizona State are not. It's so simple to legislate.

"We'll play anybody in the country home-and-home. You've got to do a better job of scheduling. You want us to go play three non-conference games on the road and they don't have to come here. Texas isn't going to do that, Oklahoma isn't going to do that, USC isn't going to do that, Florida isn't going to do that, Ohio State isn't going to do that, nobody's going to do that."

Not many big names are willing to pay $1 million for Boise to come. That kind of money is reserved for a guarantee game in college football.

And I love that you didn't make reference to the fact that Nebraska and Florida have publicly offered Boise State a 2 for 1 deal.

whichever the 2 of these teams that come out undefeated:

Oregon, Auburn, Oklahoma, or LSU

Hell, even Michigan St (6-0) should be just as deserving as BSU right now.
MSU has beaten at least one team that's better than anyone Boise has played. Maybe two teams.

Playing Boise State is a lose/lose proposition. If you lose, you just lost to a mid-major team, and you get called overrated. If you win, you don't get any real credit for beating them. All you did was end their hopes for a BCS bowl.

If Boise State wants to really be a contender for a national championship, they'll bite the bullet and take a couple of 2 for 1's with some of the programs that offered it.

And lol at Boise's athletic director trying to make the NCAA mandate home and home series. You probably won't get much but a couple of table scraps if that were to happen.

If Boise wants to play in the big game they have to do what Miami and FSU did in the 80s with the anyone anywhere attitude. Boise's "anyone anywhere but you have to pay 1 million dollars" is ridiculous and it's why they don't get respect and they don't deserve it.

Miami in the 80's is a reputation I'd be proud of, even with people complaining about off the field stuff. They were absolutely fearless (I'm just basing this on 'The U' documentary). I saw some of that 'swagger' in the 2001 squad, which I think was the best college football team ever. Too bad Coker destroyed everything.

Boise State's schedule is WEAK!!!!

Because the vast majority of the teams in the Big Six Conferences refuse to play them in the regular season. Boise even offered to play at the other teams place with no return to Boise. 1 taker, Ole Miss, 2011.

No one cares about hosting some team from Idaho. There are plenty of good home and home series including better teams. Tennessee, for example, has scheduled plenty of good series, and certainly isn't afraid to play good teams. However, who needs to play Boise? Trying to impress the Idaho recruiting base? No reason for a good team to play a game just to make Boise feel like they have a chance to prove something.

Really? I can agree with some of what you said, except the bold. Not only is UT scared to play better teams, they've made a public notice of that fact.

As far as the rest of it goes, my argument was that it's wrong to blame Boise for their schedule. They've tried. I agree that other teams wouldn't benefit. But should the NCAA hold that against Boise? It sounds a lot like collusion to me.

so what you are saying is Boise has to Prove itself a worthy team by playing teams that have no need to play them in the first place because the other teams don't need to let Boise prove themselves a worthy team.

Why? Because we backed out on one team when we're in chaos? We have played and will play plenty of good teams. We're certainly not afraid. The NCAA shouldn't hold it against Boise, but if there is no playoff, no reason anyone should concern themselves with it.

I'm not completely sure what that sentence means, but I think that is what I was saying. Boise may try, but no other school has to care.

Yeah, home and homes with Oregon Oklahoma, a date with two time defending Big East champ Cincinnati is weak sauce.

Yes, it is a Catch-22 for Boise. And I still maintain collusion. To keep the new kid from ruining the rich, old, white guy party. Figuratively speaking of course.
