When I first heard Election night that the Republicans (my party, as a reminder) were going to win to the extent that they did, my first thought was basically, "My god, the debt is going to sky rocket even more."

Today's Republicans are not your grandfather's Republicans. They will spend like liberals but without the presence of mind to actually tax/budget/etc. accordingly.

Thus far, I see no indication that I will be proven wrong.
