The war on drugs is much like the war on terror. You can't truly root it out and destroy it. Kill one kingpin of the Cartel? That's cool. There's 5 more in line to take his spot. It's not as easy as you make it out to be behind your keyboard.

Hey man. I'm with you. For some reason, the others on this board have an ideology to uphold that "drugs are bad mmmkay" but are totally okay spending billions on a wall that will do little to nothing to stop the problem. Oh and these same people are against big government, unless of course it involves someone with an "R" beside their name. But yeah, let's spend billions of dollars on a symbol rather than appropriate those funds to other worthwhile causes just so they can compensate for their small dicks.

I'm aware of the different reasons their worthless people come into this country. That doesn't change the simple fact we won't nearly have the problem we do if Mexico wasn't such a ****hole. Now, next time try responding to what I typed instead of just making things up.

You dang sure got a days work in you then. I labored for a year, then was on the "swing" for about a year..where you shovel mud and put out brick doubletime bc when you get ahead and everyone is full you get to pick up your trowel and lay brick for maybe 15 minutes until they ran low again. Shoveling sand, lifting 90# mortar bags neck high, and pitching brick all day is brutal. Best i ever slept in my life...pass out sitting up at 8pm. Lol. Was fortunate to learn from a older country craftsman that is still the best mason i know. Any topshelf mason needs to lay 1000 a day plus extras like quoins, keys, soldiers, and jackarches in order to pay himself, the laborer required to feed him, and make money for the company. This cat consistently laid 1200 to 1500 brick a day of perfection. One of those guys who wasnt even dirty at the end of the day, because his moves are so efficient that he doesnt lose any mortar. I spent almost a decade of sunup to cantsee and never could touch him. Just thankful he taught me how to build a wood burning firebox, and free standing arches, etc. He ended up getting laid off along with his whole crew just like i did in 2008 when homebuilding stopped. He still lays brick today, luckily i got this super gig and traded backache for headache.

In all seriousness, the wall seems like a bad idea from a budgetary and practical standpoint. It's not like folks aren't still going to get over in the non-monitored areas like they currently are. I'm a fan of the suggestions in this article:

We need to stop rewarding (amnesty discussion) illegal immigration and attach some real and serious consequences to it.
