I don't know precisely, as I've not read or studied anything along those lines specifically. What I can say is that having studied overall performance in relation to talent I would say that raw talent is preferable to an experienced but less talented player. In general terms, I'll take a team of freshman four star players over a team of senior two star players if you are examining the outcome of a series of events and everything else being equal.
Hmmm.. don't know about that. A 4* frosh team still has a lot of maturing to do. Boys to men, some will be busts and all that. And they'll be playing experienced senior 2* ... men. And several of those 2* will always have been 'coached up' to much better capabilities, as of course some will not have the capability of increasing their skills.
Off the cuff, I'd just have to disagree with you, unless of course you have links to statistical proof; and if you do please provide them (for football not bb) because this is a topic that seems to come up quite a lot.
