As opposed to a major college coach who didn't even know the rules for bowl eligibility?

Like I said, I think the OP is either trolling or heard a rumor, but the people eating this up are hilarious. I don't believe for a second Jones is pushing this because I believe he definitely knows UT isn't going to a bowl, but if he actually is, then that's a problem.

We didn't win 6 games. Those teams did. They deserve it.

And if I was just an "unbiased fan", we are just as irrelevant on the field as all of those teams so no one outside of this fanbase really gives a s*** and thats the truth. Our offense is unbearable to watch as a fan and our defense can't stop wr screens or stretch plays. No one wants to see that s*** either.

I'm not a troll. I'm just passing on what I have heard from UT players. They aren't anticipating getting picked but Butch has said that there is a possibility.

You are right, against Oregon, Bama, Mizzou and Auburn. How dare we have a hard time scoring against and stopping those teams...Like the rest of the nation.

The bowl games don't get to make up the selection criteria. Money or not, Texas State has to get selected for a bowl before UT can.

And I never thought understanding a rule would mean I'm not a fan of the Vols.

Hint, it is not your thoughts or ideas that are causing people to say you arent a fan. It is your:

1. childish
2. my way or the highway
3. i'm right - you're wrong
4. poop(sorry bout that) on everyone who have been brought up related to this thread (CBJ)
5. i'm going to respond to everyone who quotes me with the same answer

I'm just going off of what friends of mine have said. They are looking ahead to next season and starting to prepare in the weight room for it as if their season is over, but they are still open to the possibility

If it helps them in their training to hang onto the idea that they might be prepping for a bowl game, then more power to them. However, reality dictates that there is no possibility for them to be open to.

About 1/3 of these 6-6 teams will have no bowl.
So, there is no chance at all of a 5-7 team going bowling.

The very fact someone questions me being a fan over a rule is in itself childish.

As far as the rest of the list, how exactly does one point out that people that keep repeating this are wrong? Do you want me to cuddle you, break it to you gently, hold your hand and tell you everything is going to be ok? You're basically pissed because you say I'm raining on your parade, when it was a stupid parade to begin with that never had a shot at being true.
