The only reason you saw Pig Howard get the ball on end arounds is because he was our only legitimate threat on the outside running the ball. We were trying to put the ball in a playmaker's hands, and he plays WR and not RB. That is the only thing that I can think of that you are reffering to. Our playmaking ability was limited, and it is funny that we ran that play with Pig and CP under Chaney's pro style offense.
Just like everything, of course, there are modified versions of the spread. But, it is essentially the same goal: to get skilled players in space. But you inferred that any spread could not be run in the SEC. Simply not true.
my goodness. can we get through 1 offseason without staff turnover!?
And if ANYONE had expected an SEC championship then you'd have a point. Seeing that most were only looking for 6 wins and a bowl... you have no point. If well coached, this was a 7 win roster. With avg coaching, it was a six win roster. Five wins is simply subpar.
We finished as expected...so say what you want hater but we ended up where the experts figured we would. 5-7 or 6-6....we were inches away from 6-6. It happens...it is why the game is played...sucks but if the truth hurts say ouch.

Not quite. It proves that the unique situations he inherited at Cincy and CMU went well. He followed Kelly at both places. Neither place offered the level of competition the SEC does.
If Butch and his staff are so bad then why didn't they continue to be 4-8 in his second year and not 10-3 like they finished? With your thought process his teams should have been 4-8 the next season. What more proof of coaching do you need? The end result is what it is. Your dislike and hate can't change facts guy. Solid coaching makes a 4-8 squad better....let alone 10-3 the next year...that is pure proof of coaching...doesn't get any better....doesn't matter what league or conference it is. Coaching up players is coaching up players...and that record ends up defining you.
His recruiting is exceptional but to keep it up he has to show something on the field starting next fall. He can't keep getting blown out and losing to the likes of Vandy. If he doesn't, recruiting will dry up.
Vandy ain't Vandy anymore as long as Franklin is there...everyone realizes that now. But Vandy ain't Tennessee either so I think we will be just fine when it comes to who can sell what to a recruit each year.
Alright so to avoid the labor of filtering through these posts . . .
Is Bajakian considered a realistic candidate? Seems like it would be an unusual hire on the part of Bowling Green.
Worked out pretty well for Ark, when they hired Malzahn.
