Bowling Green interested in Bajakian

He only had 3 BIG WR's to work with...each were 4* recruits. Bowles even falls into this category. He had more talent on this offense than the record would imply.

Richardson, Bullard, Stone, James, North, Croom, Harris, Lane...all 4* talent. So don't even try to give me that lack of talent BS. That pig don't fly.

And just what programs did you coach for Mr. Rockne? Watching a few practices makes you a subject matter expert, does it?

Haha, it seems so easy, doesn't it? The problem that people fail to see is that all of our experienced talent were on both lines. People also have their own thoughts about our OL. We started two freshmen and a sophomore at WR and two serviceable (but not elite) RB's. We also started a true freshman QB for the last 4 games. If you think that is a recipe for success, then believe what you want. As you say, that pig won't fly in the SEC. People will believe anything these days.

Is that why our defense sucks?

Our defense was way better than last years, but anything is better than last year, which is a plus on the staff since they improved with same players from last year. I'll wait till next year maybe year after and they get their players in to judge them, so there are no excuses.

Nothing like a Tennessee off season without some stupid coaching change conversation
Yeah, right? I mean it's not like calling for Dooley to be fired last year was a damn good call, or anything. What were all those NegaVols thinking?!!! It's only cool to call for a coaching change AFTER they are gone? :blink:Go figure?

Ga fans celebrated when those 2 got fired. I laughed when Ga had those 2. Tn and every other decent SEC team was running the score up on their Defenses just like every decent SEC team is doing to them now. Now the same Ga fans are laughing because they are on Tn staff now.

Negative. Croom wasn't considered a starter for most of the season. Josh, Sir Drops-A-Lot, Smith played more snaps per game than Croom did, by a good margin....even though he impressed DeerPark and Bajakian in practice.

When the lights came on, his hands went cold. Every game confirmed it, but by jolly...Bajakian and Azzani were going to make him snap out of it by throwing him more critical, game on the line, passes. Doink!

Cincy TE led the team last year in catches and plays for the chiefs. We tried not to throw to ours. Another wr went pro.
I assume you think Bajak forgot what he knows in one year, and an 18 yr old qb throwing to no TE, Carson Newman wr's while playing 6 top 10 teams is no excuse. Don't consider we averaged more yds per carry than in a couple/few decades.
Morans.
Is he perfect, no. Did he make mistakes? Yep. Can we play an I form with 2 te's with a walkon fb and no te? No. Does pro style beat bama? No. Do I expect more? Tons.
The want to fire people all the time is a product of ones own issues, imo, in wanting to see others fall. No doubt really. Misery loves company and there are some freaking miserable people on these boards.

And now for 3 decades ga is still having defense issues and they want another DC gone. Again.
Our d coaches did fine this year. Saying they didn't, while looking at the speed, talent like our Sr de getting his first sack against ky, and huge increase in takeaways, is a product of a biased opinion from their supposed work at another school in a different decade.

Also, according to a blog post I think found on Volnation, our TE's sucked at blocking. There's a caveat for everyone wanting to run a power formation.

Too early for the Jay Gruden to UT as OC? :)
Was he watching the ut vandy game on a plane on his way to meet his brother to break the game tape down? Jon probably told him "damn jay if thats what you have to follow up youll be there for 10 plus years"

We still have our Tennessee gear, wanna go back to Knoxville?

:realmad: That's not EVEN funny!

Ok...maybe just a little bit...

Really? So, it couldn't be that we simply expect our AD's to hire qualified coaches?....and not take 3-4 times to figure out that the candidates with winning resumes are the ONLY ones to consider? No, that couldn't be it. Not scandalous enough. Needs a heavy dose of psycho-analization and conspiracy theories.

And when a coach like Butch says he's going to hire the BEST STAFF IN AMERICA...is it too much to ask that we hold him to his word? Nobody was beating down the door to hire either Bajakian or Janzek, when CBJ took the job.

There are better, more proven OC's and DC's than them every year. Ellis Johnson was a VERY good example. Why would Butch hire his bud, when he could instead hire Johnson, who had become available about the same time as Butch took the job here? Auburn snagged him, and they, instead of us, have THE BEST STAFF IN AMERICA.

Johnson had a distinguished record as a SEC DC. Janzek had a forgettable record as a DC in the SEC. WHY NOT HIRE THE MOST QUALIFIED POSSIBLE? Is that really so hard to grasp?

Even if you are right...a little hint- Josh Smith is a freshman. As is Croom, as is North. Pig is a sophomore that was injured part of last year and played behind two NFL draft picks. They played who they had. Wow.

Croom is not a true freshman.

I think staff chemistry is probably more important than you think. Butch's Cinci guys had put together a winning formula. Why would Butch hire someone that could possibly create a rift?

If I'm a winning head coach, I take my winning pieces wherever I'm hired. Butch did that, and then added some great pieces along the way. JMHO.
