Boycott Organic Food?

They literally made the point that "it tastes better," on the show. Do you realize how mind-numbingly stupid that is?

Yeah, it's a very valid point when organic food eaters make it, though. It was based on their taste test, not on their personal preference.

I think that the organic zombies are idiots too, but when I buy something like Kashi cereal, Canadian Farms granola bars, Santa Cruz lemonade or a bunch of other stuff, it simply does taste better because it is higher quality. I can taste a difference in something made with real sugar or cane sugar and something with high fructose corn syrup or some other refined sweetener.

I also find that show entertaining, but the taste test thing was bunk. How many people do you think they actually tested? How many that got it right did they show?

In the interest of accuracy, I said 50% of organic food comes from China. It's only 20%. The point remains the same. You don't know what standards are met just because it has an organic label.
Buy American, problem solved.

This is what I was getting at. I'm sure that KFC monstrosity they call a sandwich tastes terrific...but I wouldn't eat one.

I can taste the difference between cane sugar and HFCS as well*, but that's not the difference between organic and non-organic, those are completely different food products. Same with Canadian Farms granola. Everybody's recipe is different, are you sure they don't just have the best recipe? Does Canadian Farms have a non-organic product you compare it against?

I don't know how many people they tested. Only about 25% picked organic as the better tasting food item.

*Soda with cane sugar is so damn good.

They may well be different, but my organic beverages tend to have the cane sugar while the non-organic varieties of the same basic beverages have hfcs or other refined sugars

organic food snobs are like Mac users and Prius drivers. There's nothing inherently wrong with their choices, but there's a suffocating cloud of smug that follows them wherever they go.

Gorilla, you and I are of like mind. How often do you think Mac users smell their own farts?

as much as I love organic food, I'd have to agree with that. Gets on my nerves. Let people make their own educated choices.

my home-built $400 PC can beat up your ipad. Now, get back in your Prius and go troll Murfreesboro for jailbait.

I'd rather have the home built tower, but no denying apple products can pull tail.
