Bracketmatrix 2021-22

Probably work itself out but no chance of them being a 2 seed as of today regardless of 5th best NET imo
If they win out including their conference tourney then maybe. There just aren’t enough good wins left for them. The only place for them to go is down. I think they’re a 3 seed at best.

My thought too…my point though was that no way committee can follow Top 8 on NET as mentioned before.

They still could. Assuming Houston either wins out in order to stay in the top 8 (they were 8th last year) or more likely they finish just outside the top 8. I think there are too many quality wins out there for the top teams and not for Houston which will make them easy to pass

All up to KC, ZZ, and Vesco how far we go in the tourney this year.

With our guards, the 5 seed kind of gives me 2014 UCONN vibes when they had Boatright and Napier at the guard positions...both smaller guards.

I would argue that how far we go depends entirely on JJJ. He’s the X factor. We know he’ll bring it defensively every game, but if he is splashing 3’s, attacking the rim, and going for 18 to 20-points like he has lately, we are incredibly tough to beat.

Agreed and I would add Fulky playing 25+ minutes and scoring in double figures also. We’ve got enough good guards that have been fairly consistently good. A good JJJ and a solid post play by Fulky or committee will make us a very tough out!

If we’re going to pick a player who it hinges on, then it’s got to be Chandler. He’s the most integral part of our offense

Idk…he’s sat and Zeigler has played and we haven’t struggled much…JJJ/Vescovi go out and we struggle mightily.
To me that’s a different argument. I’m not talking about who we can least afford to do without, I’m talking about who has the ability to raise our ceiling the most in the tournament

Would you say, Santi or JJJ or JF if his form returned to the form he had at KY last year - end of the year? (Sorry for the confusing typo)

I still think John is a month from his best basketball this year, but I see flashes ... let's look at the last game ..

Just for fun, if we went 5-1 or 6-0 over these last 6, where do you think we’d be seeded?

UConn would be the best 6 seed, but otherwise really like that bracket.

I love that bracket. I think we matchup very well. I could see us making a run.

Our ceiling is a 2. If we go 5-1 or 6-0 down the stretch, we’d probably be the last 2-seed.
