12:30 on CBS is supposed to be the Top 16 reveal by the actual tournament committee, not just some random talking heads…this is supposed to be if the tournament selection was today who they’d have as the Top 16. Obviously we want/should hear our name called, first 12 teams would be nice meaning they view us as a 3 seed currently.

Wouldn’t you rate it as binary based on today? Hard to see us ranked below 12 with a win or above with a loss.

I don’t think it’s factoring todays game in at all, is that what you’re asking? Where we are seeded is prior to all of todays games results.
Last night on ESPN, the committee said they had contingency plans to adjust seeds throughout the weekend. Didn’t know if they were only referring to the 1’s.

I am pretty floored that Baylor is the #5 overall seed considering injuries and that they’ve lost quite a few games the past few weeks and aren’t as hot right now.

They’ll adjust, as they always do with wins or losses, not understanding your question?
The committee spokesperson said they had contingency plans to adjust the early seeds based on weekend game results. That’s inconsistent with what you said earlier, but I was only noting that their “contingency plans” may only refer to the 1 seeds.

I’m really not understanding what you’re asking…they released the Top 16 teams as things stand prior to todays games, that will likely change based on wins and losses, just as it does every day?

Considering Baylor’s uncertainty with injuries, that would not be a bad draw for us at all IMO. I’d rather play them than Duke bias, Kentucky, or Purdue.

If we're at #11 overall now, a good run over the last five games of the season feels like a surefire path to a #2 seed. A top seed wouldn't be completely out of the question, but I don't want to get out over my skis.

Also interesting that they said Alabama was another team they seriously discussed for the #16 spot.

Never mind. The misunderstanding was just repaired. The ESPN anchor referred to it as the Sunday early seeding. Given that it happened Saturday, all mysteries are solved. They won’t take in today’s results due to the lack of a time machine.
