The nightmare scenario is that Gonzaga and Duke get paired in the same region as the 1 and 2, and we get the 3 or 4 seed there. I think Duke is going to win out and take a 1 seed though.

I want nothing to do with Duke on coach ks fair well tour. I’m sure the officiating will be a sight to see in those games in favor of Duke

Bad matchup, or not, I always like the idea of playing a team we know, even if we’ve lost to them. Texas Tech has just the kind of athletic defenders that give us fits. That said, I think we’d beat them this time. I’d then take Baylor, Duke and Purdue.

Despite losses, Illinois and UCLA remained unchanged in the NET rankings. Ohio St moved up 2 spots to 17

i would like a crack at texas tech again, although their defense is ridiculous. i think we would win. i would like to see baylor though. Tennessee guards vs their guards would be a site to see.

I want no part of Texas Tech. Their length terrifies me. Maybe if Aidoo played well it could bolster our chances, but I think we’d have to have a really good shooting day to win. Not sure how much luck Chandler or ZZ would have getting to the rim.

yeah, you’re right. i had to remember the last time we played them. we could barely get a shot off on them.

Tennessee and Texas Tech has both seen major improvement since the first time they played. A rematch would likely look completely different.

Yeah, their main issue is the ACC being down. They’ve only gotten 6 Q1 games, and it’s possible they’ll only get 1 more all the way through to the ACC championship. Still, they’d be 30-4 with a 6-1 Q1 record.

Gonzaga and Duke being together in the same region is actually a good thing, as long as we aren’t in it with them. I’d take my chances with any of the other ~10 teams ahead of us.

As a 3 seed we’d likely be in Pittsburgh, and Ohio St as a 6 could easily be our 2nd round opponent. They’d probably have a big crowd there
