I see us at 7-5 at best next year with or without bray and the new coaches no doubt he is talented but i would like to see one of the young ones take over get a year of sec ball under his belt.

I posted before that he is no better than mid-pack in the SEC in Efficiency Rating, Yards per attempt, and 9th out of 12 in completion percentage. Compared to Murray, McCarron, and Taj Boyd of Clemson, he is way down the list in those 3 categories.

Is yards per attempt and completion percentage more important than TD's? I think what is lost is the fact he felt he had to win every game because of our poor defense and made throws he probably wouldn't have otherwise. In other words, he felt he had to take risks in order to win.

Would you rather have a 1st year intern do your surgery or someone who has a lot of experience? This makes no sense, let's bench a 3 year starter and go with someone with no experience.

I don't want a stat machine. I want a qb that'll win a damn game that matters instead of turning it over in crucial points.

Watching the difference in his body language from under Dooley to under Chaney, I think he could make significant improvements under a new coaching staff.

Dudes slam Bray for his lack of being clutch in the end of games..

I think he played very well for a quarterback who had to play catch up all season. When your defense isn't helping you out then you have to play a different game.

Defense's job - stop opposing offense.
Offense's job - score.

Bray & Co. did their part a majority of the season. Also, I agree, with a quality coaching staff they're even more lethal.

Why as a UT Fan, would you give a crap less about an individual players stats???
The stat that matters is the W's...........that is IT!!!
And I dont care if he plays in the NFL or not. It is his job to provide leadership and W's for UT> both of which he has failed miserably!!

I'd like to see Tyler get one year under a GREAT COACH. At least, a GREAT QB COACH. Like Ainge says, the one year he played under Cutcliffe changed him, for the better. I'm really curious how good Tyler could be, with his big arm, under a topnotch QB coach. Might raise his value in the draft his senior year.

He led an offense that averaged over 30 points a game in the SEC. Say what you want about cracking at the end of the game, but if the defense had held up half of their end of the bargain they would only have 2 or 3 losses. If you think that Bray has failed miserably, then you have to put it on all the other players on the team, including CP and AJ.

Offense has one job and one job only...to put up points. No one can deny TB did his job. Defense has one job and one job only...keep the other team from scoring. They failed miserably. Im not a huge TB fan and thats for attitude reasons and personality but i cannot deny he did his job and to say differently is assinine. If our D was even half of what our O was this year We wouldnt be looking for a new coach.

Now that the season is over, I thought we should look at Bray's stats. There has been a lot of hatred towards Bray lately and I honestly don't get it. Yes, he is immature at times, but weren't we all at that age. Does he lack leadership, none of us really know what goes on in the huddle or film room so that is hard to answer.

What you can't deny; however, is he had a great season:
Yds passing - 3,612, #1 SEC, #10 FBS
TD's - 34, #1 SEC, tied for #6 FBS
INT's - 12, of the top 10 in TD's, 5 had more pics than Bray so he was middle of the pack.

I, for one, would like to have him back. Considering the defenses he faced and the situations our defense put us in, I say he had a great year.

So, do you want him back or not?

you can't see the forrest for the trees.THE ONLY STAT THAT MATTERS OR WILL EVER MATTER IS WINS AND LOSES. THAT IS ALL. i WILL TALK SLOWER. W-I-N-S OR L-O-S-E-S. 1-7 as the starting qb. did he throw up some good numbers yes, did he lead his team in the 4th quarter to wins Hell No. will the new coaching staff teach him to be better under pressure? that is the question.

Caring about individual stats is all part of the "fantasy football" craze. The Ws are what matters most, something Mr. Bray is severely lacking in.

Bray should watch that Johnny Football guy from TexA&M. He has great stats but more importantly he is a leader that his team rallied around and who lead that team to a really great season. And he is a freshman. That lack of leadership is what Bray is lacking and frankly will never have in my opinion.

Instead of saying "somthing Mr. Bray is severely lacking in" shouldnt that read somthing the ENTIRE team is lacking in. Im sure TB lost those games all by himself. No one else on the TEAM had anything to do with it

I think people feel Bray should be a MT (Notre Dame backer) type of leader that wills his team to wins. Bray is not that guy in the least. He simply is a good thrower that is headed to the league. Just wish him well and let it go folks.

Talk about people not getting it. I don't understand why people put all the wins and losses on the QB. If we had a great defense, we would have had a great season. It is not Bray's fault we can't stop anyone.

Seriously? I'm embarrassed for you. You're just an angry child that's irrelevant and near-sighted........ The head coach and his staff take the blame for wins and losses. Dooley was fired ultimately for hiring the wrong defensive coordinator and lack of sound decision making. Chaney is heralded a hero for the offense he ran, but his quarterback, the same guy who Chaney trusted to put points on the board, gets shat on because he couldn't motivate the defense to uphold their end of the deal. You take the best quarterback in the country and put him in the same situation..... You think he's got what it takes to put up offensive numbers AND give pep talks to the defense? If you put Bray on a team with a decent defense he'd get the wins just by doing what he's done all season.
