Seriously? I'm embarrassed for you. You're just an angry child that's irrelevant and near-sighted........ The head coach and his staff take the blame for wins and losses. Dooley was fired ultimately for hiring the wrong defensive coordinator and lack of sound decision making. Chaney is heralded a hero for the offense he ran, but his quarterback, the same guy who Chaney trusted to put points on the board, gets shat on because he couldn't motivate the defense to uphold their end of the deal. You take the best quarterback in the country and put him in the same situation..... You think he's got what it takes to put up offensive numbers AND give pep talks to the defense? If you put Bray on a team with a decent defense he'd get the wins just by doing what he's done all season.

Gave you your first Like. Excellant points you make. Only thing im not sure about is who hired Sal. I believe Hart hired him but that doesnt matter anymore. Welcome to VN

Instead of saying "somthing Mr. Bray is severely lacking in" shouldnt that read somthing the ENTIRE team is lacking in. Im sure TB lost those games all by himself. No one else on the TEAM had anything to do with it

Well you can't have an entire team all composed of leaders. Won't work. My point was Bray is or should be the leader and frankly no one took that role on this year on this team. Yes, the 5-7 record is a result of a ton of sins by many players (DBs for example were horrendous) but Bray did not show any inkling of leadership and that is his fault.

"but Bray did not show any inkling of leadership and that is his fault."

I get what your saying, you put it in print. You are putting the entire losing season squarely on the back of one young man because YOU think he didn't lead his troops to a winning season. So He led the O by putting up I think 35 points a game, was one of the highest rated QB's in the SEC and because He didn't rally a horrible D to excellance it's his fault. One young man can only do so much on a very large football team.

I will agree that we need a leader on defense. In past years that was the "captains" role. Not sure who the captains were this year but as leaders, they failed.

would love to see Bray come back. And everybody knows his dislike of Dooley may have contributed to his attitude on and off the field. Thats why a Gruden coached Bray will break this years stats and better his chances in the NFL draft.

What's his stats vs. SEC teams? Earlier in the year is was around 52% completion whereas out of conference was 67%. I'm ready for him to leave. I thing he's toxic to the teams morale.

I'd be fine with Bray deciding to return but logically, I just can't see it. If I am TB, returning means 1) adjusting to a new staff, 2) less talented WR corp, and 3) fewer passes due to likely higher emphasis on running game. If I declare, I will likely be drafted (maybe not in top 3 rounds but somewhere), learn the pro system and make some decent cash.

Break it down to his biggest games: Florida: 2 picks (would have been more had Hunter not broken up plays), Georgia: 3 picks, 2 fumbles, Mississippi St: Under 200 yards, Alabama: Under 200 yards and 0 TDs, Vandy: 2 picks and under 200 yards...Yeah, he's ****ing awesome...the doofus pads his stats against Akron and Troy, big deal

you can't see the forrest for the trees.THE ONLY STAT THAT MATTERS OR WILL EVER MATTER IS WINS AND LOSES. THAT IS ALL. i WILL TALK SLOWER. W-I-N-S OR L-O-S-E-S. 1-7 as the starting qb. did he throw up some good numbers yes, did he lead his team in the 4th quarter to wins Hell No. will the new coaching staff teach him to be better under pressure? that is the question.

Bray put up more passing yards and thrown TDs to Johnny Football. If a team puts up 30 to 40 points in a game your should technically win that game. you have a defense that gives up 400 yards plus a game you should not have to put pressure on your QB to win a game you should have won after scoring the 30+ points in said game.

Defense wins games, Offense sells tickets.

A Gruden at coach will result in Bray wimpering and crying over there on the bench for his attitude and lack of competence.:salute:

Stats are not the problem...What seperates Bray from being a good QB and being a great QB is his maturity and leadership qualities. I would really like to have him back next year and if he can improve in these areas he could be an all time great...

if T. Bray comes back GREAT! Defense can only get better next year so there won't be as much pressure on him to have to put up 40 points a game. If Bray does leave it will be very exciting to see what Worley can do in a full season.

I wouldnt mind seeing bray back with a great QB coach. Otherwise good luck to him in the NFL he will need it.

What would his record have been with a good defense?

Random speculation of little importance. That is like saying what would his stats look like if you take out the patsy games against Memphis, Akron, GSU and the like. An utter waste of time man. Dude is gone and I wish him well.

Yeah, Collin Klein had a great defense. Blah, Blah, Blah. More excuses.

And don't forget the two picks against Bama. One was a horrible throw in the endzone and the other one thrown right to the middle linebacker.

It wouldn't have been on his shoulders to win if we had a decent defense. That is a fact that cannot be disputed.

If he had shown even an ounce of being able to lead the team in clutch time, (ie going 4 and out, running out of time, etc) instead of having 4 turnovers, then I would agree with you. This fact cannot be disputed: in crunch time and game on the line, the D stepped up and got the ball back into Bray's hands, which Bray proceeded to lose.
