Do you want Bray to return?

uhh, defense maybe.

Seven points in the second half against Mizzou. 20 total against UF and 13 against Bama. We had an accumulation of meaningless stats. Our offense only played well in a "big" game against South Carolina. We had spurts against Georgia and MSU, but not enough.

anyone that says no needs to go back and take Football 101.

not to mention they need a serious mental evaluation...

let your anger leave with Dooley and show some support to our players.

everyone was attacking ZR last year, counting him out as a bust etc..

he was the best WR we had this year. Learn from your mistakes

or don't.. and give UT fans a reputation akin to bammers :loco:

It is almost like folks are saying the picks and fumbles and misreads and terrible throws were Dooley's fault.
But the touchdowns were all Tyler.
To that I say child please.

PM has had bad games.. thrown picks.. had fumbles, mis-reads, and had some terribly thrown balls.

You want his autograph on a jersey and game ball..

but the QB that has come closest to his stats.. you want to bench or otherwise get rid of..

Do you even have a semi-logical thought process behind this?

I do not worry to much about those stats racked up against Akron and Georgia.... State. Glad you like them. One Tyler Bray jersey, coming up.

yep... all the other QB's on the list never played any cupcake games, we are the only school that schedules anything like that.

And every single one of them has had to play 4 out of the top 10 schools in the current BCS standings.

And every single one of them has had to lead a desperate drive to come from behind to even give their teams a chance to stay in the game..

Then seen that lead given away by the defense on a single run from scrimmage for 70+ yards, so had to go back out to do it again.

So clearly we cant accept Bray stats, but everyone else's are right on the money..

Seriously, drink a cup of coffee and wake up, your embarrassing yourself.

Accept the stats all you want. What do they mean for you? At no time did Bray put any of the good teams we played on their heels. Those stats are merely fools gold (and how).

I am not embarrassed by anything you can conjure up. It does appear you think quite highly of yourself though.

Bray is a good qb. But I will wait until he actually wins a game for UT before I crown him. You are free to do whatever you like however. And I won't call you any names or make feeble attempts to insult you for it either.

Coffee sounds good. What kind do you favor? Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or do you make yours at home?

Who said anything about crowning him? This was a question of whether you want him to return or not. I think it is ridiculous that some of the fans want him to leave. He is a very talented QB that needs to mature. He had a lot on his shoulders this year because of the pressure he felt to win every game due to the crappy defense we had. Not to mention, how many times did Hunter drop a perfectly thrown ball or TD's called back like the one to Hunter last Saturday.

He's a high caliber QB that I would love to see for one more year. But, if you want to turn the program over to someone with no experience, that makes no sense.

Obviously not. He is satisfied with his unrelenting Tyler Bray love. I guess when Bray gets invited to the Heistman Ceremony he may go ahead and load his britches. Front and back.
:lolabove:

Try sticking to the point and re-read the thread. The question is do you want him to return. You are an embarrassment to Volnation.

this thread is about not wanting him back.. which is idiocy to not want the best QB in the SEC back and instead start someone who we have no idea about other then star rating coming out of highschool..

I am not crowning the guy anything, I think he still needs a lot of work to get to where he could be, and that is saying a lot since once again.. top of the SEC and top 10 in the nation, playing one of THE most grueling schedules in CFB.

To say his stats are padded by the 3 cupcake teams we played this year when anyone outside of the SEC gets at least 6 of those a year is also less then intelligent IMO.

Just cant understand how anyone could try to blame this year on Bray in any way, shape, or form.

There are only a handful of QB's in the country that could have kept us in all of those games, when our defense makes players you have never heard of before look like Heisman front runners the week they play us.

We should be begging the guy to stay his senior year with rock paintings.. twitter .. Facebook or whatever the newer generation use the most.

We get a GOOD coach and all of our juniors stay, and we could have the biggest/fastest turn around ever in the history of the game.

all the new coach has to do is run a defensive scheme that fits our personnel, and just make them serviceable as a unit.

And I like a little hazelnut creamer in my coffee.. home made is the only way to go :)

Watching the difference in his body language from under Dooley to under Chaney, I think he could make significant improvements under a new coaching staff.
Don't you think that had something to do with the fact that we were playing KY.

The stats do not determine if I want to come back. It is the orchestration of the game and leadership of his team I look at. And do not see. I am just fine with Worley playing. Or anyone else. I am not enamored with Bray. If he stays and leads us to wins, great. If goes pro great. He has not made any significant plays in our big games to make me 100 percent want him to stay.

Again with this embarrassment stuff. Everybody is not going to agree with you. Or me. I am fine with that. Apparently you are not. But anyhow.......

My comment about embarrassment was not because you disagree with me, but because you somehow jumped to the conclusion of my love for Bray and the comment about loading my britches.

I have no problem with disagreeing, but you want to just make snide comments that are completely unrelated to the topic of discussion. It makes you seem awfully un-intelligent. I would be embarrassed if I were you.

Ok partner. Your love for Bray has caused you to make claims you could not begin to substantiate. Guess it comes with the territory of loving a loser with great stats. You must really have loved Jared Lorenzen. He threw for over 3700 yards as a freshman.

Whatever, exactly where did I say I love Bray. I pointed out his stats as a passer and said I would love for him to come back. Which claims have I made that I cannot substantiate. Be specific and stop making general claims.

Funny how you classify Bray as a loser. I'm assuming you are one of the idiots who blame every loss on Bray despite the fact we put up a ton of points this year only to watch our defense give up more points.

Lorenzen was the best offensive lineman I ever saw, LOL.

Do you Bray fans even watch the games? Just wondering.
Do you? What is your point? Our defense totally sucked so to blame the losses on Bray is ridiculous. Could he have been a hero and won some of those games, sure. But let's stop fooling ourselves and acting like he played horrible in every SEC game and is the sole reason we lost.

Can he improve, absolutely. But I would like for him to return over starting with an unproven and unexperienced QB next year.

Stats win games.... duh
You guys are exhausting. The stats were to point out that he is a good QB despite what a lot of posters were saying in other threads. The only purpose of this thread was to gauge everyone's opinion on whether they want him to return or not.

Obviously stats don't win games, but they are an indication of the effectiveness of a player which is what we are discussing.

My point is he is a great passer not a great QB those my friends are way different things.

Stats dont mean everything. I can make bad stats look good and good stats look bad. What i see on the field is a guy with a great long ball arm, good receivers, terrible at touch passes, and bad on the field leadership.

Now what was your point again oh ya...hes not a good qb but can throw the ball well, which is only half the battle for a Good or great QB.
