Bray will never

In SEC games the only two teams that Bray didn't surpass the defenses averages were Miss St. and Vandy. So that means that against every single team we played he put up better numbers than they allowed. Of course his numbers aren't as good against SEC competition as they are against weaker teams. And everyone comparing him to QBs of old, when are you going to wake up and realize that UT is not the UT of old lately. The overall teams and defenses those other guys got to play with had a lot to do with the success. If you put this Bray led offense with the 05 defense you would all be singing his praises all the way to the SEC title game. Wake up and realize that the struggles have not been strictly on Tyler.
see you dont get it its not his ability its his preperation that will hold him back

I would never say never...

I'm sure no one thought Tom Brady would do what he did. Not saying Bray is Brady but never is too strong of word to apply in this situation.
Brady is a hard working focused eye on the prize intense player he is the polar opisite as Bray.

I think Bray's "talent" is overrated. Yea, he's got a good arm--but most QBs do. What else does he have? Throwing motion? Akward. Mobility? None. (Look at the four rookie QBs who are making big marks this year--ALL very mobile. This will be a major problem for Bray). Footwork? Needs improvement. Decision making? Questionable. Leadership skills? Very limited--at best. Bray could make it, but it will be hard for him--too many issues. He seems very much like Ainge--and he didn't make it. Guys whose best asset is a big arm are a dime a dozen. To be a starting NFL QB requires a lot more than that.

Yes he will. Bray has better physical attributes than both Ainge and Clausen put together, he just didn't have leadership skills. All you need in the NFL is the physical tools....just take a look at Bryce Brown.

Bryce Brown isn't a QB. A better comparison might be Vince Young. The reality will depend more on who his QB coach is in the NFL. Problem there is that under all the ones that might take his game up a notch, he will be holding a clipboard for a long long time.

Bray will be a starter and a good QB at NFL..no idea why there is so much hate for him around here..he was our best QB last 2 years and this years threw for ovr 3500 yeards and 31 TDs..while our team sucked ...
You know the only reason Ainge didnt do good was drugs !!

Truth. I think Ainge could have made it.

You are out of your gourd if you believe that all an NFL QB needs are physical attributes. I am not saying he needs leadership skills, but the QB position in the NFL is at least 50% mental.

Jamarcus Russell and Vince Young were both drafted very high and signed lucrative contracts. They had to be played since they were making so much money. After a while, it became apparent that they couldnt cut it in the NFL. Bray most likely wont get drafted anywhere close to where Russell and Young were. So, his team wont be forced to play him. Plain and simple facts.

save for later

The QB is the ceo the rest the team works for him and looks to him for leadership.

You going to look for Bray for leadership?
Would you work for him?

Bray can't make NFL throws unless you count the ones he just dropped back and rocketed em in there and somehow the DB's didn't get a hand on. He was more lucky than good and that doesn't work in the NFL.

lmao wow.i think this dude and the op must be on the same stuff.

I don't know about you guys, but I want Tennessee players to be good in the NFL. Will Bray be good? I have no idea, but he's a Vol so I wish him and the rest of the team that's leaving nothing but the best on their future endeavors.

Yep. That's why Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, Akili Smith, Tim Couch, Heath Shuler, Kordell Stewart, Charlie Frye, Quincy Carter, Vince Young, Danny Wuerffel, Troy Smith, Tim Tebow, Omar Jacobs, David Greene, John Beck, Jason Campbell, Matt Leinart, Rex Grossman, Byron Leftwich, Patrick Ramsey, Brady Quinn, Alex Smith, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, JP Losman, David Carr, Cade McNown, Andre Ware, and perhaps most poignant to an analogy to Tyler Bray, Todd Marinovich all sucked in college because of lack of leadership but flourished in the NFL due to physical tools. But let's look at a running back's career when prognosticating about the career of a QB; that's some sound logic right there.

I sincerely hope that Bray has a long and successful career in the NFL; however, I just don't think he will amount to anything other than a Todd Marinovich. Perhaps he will shine with proper coaching, but I don't think it will matter given his lack of work ethic.

He has no chance due to extremely low maturity level and terrible work ethic. Unbelievable talent but far too lazy to ever excel at the next level.
